UTTERLY DISGUSTING.
A couple of months ago I gave a 5-star rating after receiving my first delivery. Not only was it on time but the food was hot and ingredients were fresh with no chunks of fat filling the souvlaki. I was seriously impressed.
Since that time, deliveries have become slower and the food colder but I persisted although for the first time ever, I've been left with no choice bit to modify my initial review.
On Friday night I received what will be my last order from Pita Wrap It. Not only was it an hour late but all of the food was stone cold bar the saganki which was hot but rubbery. And the pork in the souvlaki was REVOLTING - littered with chunks of fat. Not only was my $50 poorly spent but when I called to check on my incredibly late delivery, I was told it had been packed 2 minutes earlier and the delivery person was late. The fourth delivery person that is - I saw 3 others come and go through my UberEats app. As for the fourth delivery driver, she was there the whole time sending me messages advising that the order still hadn't been packed. It was clear from the app that she was at the store and was in fact there from quite some time.
I'm prepared to put up with the occasional delivery delay but I'm not prepared to put up with sub-standard food and outright misrepresentations about the status of my order.
I suspect Pita Wrap it is resting on a good reputation naively thinking that is all they need and naively thinking they can't go from hero to zero. Customers are buying food and not a reputation. Time to start treating paying customers...
Read moreThere are two pita wrap it restaurants opposite to each other. This review is for the smaller one.
We have been to the bigger restaurant many times. This time we decided to go to the smaller one and try it out. We are told both are the same. We were a group of 4 people. We ordered our pita wraps and sat on the table. The food was good, we also appreciated it and told the waiter that it is good.
Then my friend and me thought of ordering one more and split it between us because we were only a tad bit hungry.
When we were given our falafal wrap, there were no fries inside it. We politely told them that there are no fries inside it, and if they can give us a few on the side, instead of making a new one. To our surprise, they got angry on our request and mumbled something in their language.
They gave us the fries anyway. We requested politely again that can you give us some extra Salt on the fries. To which they started yelling in their language and then the lady told us "Do you want everything for free?"
We just bought and paid for 5 wraps and just politely asked for extra "salt" on our fries, is that too much to ask for?
We felt disrespected. I have always had a good experience at the bigger pita wrap it, but this smaller one had very bad service. There was no reason to be so rude and disrespectful. We have always been polite and respectful to them.
No food tastes good if you don't serve it with love and respect. Your bad service made the food taste bad.
I gave 2 stars just because the other branch is relatively better. Not going to the...
Read moreAbsolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced. To start with, my friend whose birthday we were celebrating ordered the gyros plate for two with several other people. That food never came and was later refunded to them without any sort of compensation or apology for them being left without food. Several others of us ordered souvlakis. At no point were we made aware that the restaurant policy is not to serve souvlakis to large groups. Later in the evening, a short blond woman approached our table (BEWARE nasty personalities come in small packages!) notifying us of their policy not to serve souvlakis. We acknowledged this and no one ordered souvlakis from that point on. She then stated our souvlakis would not be assembled, but merely plated. We had no issue with that. AT NO POINT did she notify us that we would be expected to pay an excess of $15-20 for the difference between our souvlakis and the gyros plate. After we finished our food several hours later, we were bluntly told that the people who bought souvlakis had to pay this difference. There was absolutely NO legal basis or authority to charge us this difference, nor were we under any legal obligation to pay this. The staff messed up and refused to acknowledge their mistake, placing the onus of their incompetency and idiocy on customers which is terrible malpractice! Do NOT visit this dingy cesspit of a restaurant unless you want to argue with irrational...
