Unfortunately it all looked better then it tasted. Ice cream flavours all tasted the same. I purchased two of the mini cakes which looked beautiful in the window but tasted very bland and thrown together. The tiramisu cake left a terrible aftertaste in our mouths. The guy that served me couldn’t really be bothered. On top of all that - expensive. Sorry will stick to Messina.
As per the below response from the owner, I’m sorry if my review seems confusing. Yes I have tried most of your gelato flavours and cannot tell the difference. I am a local so have given you a couple of chances. My last purchase was the mini cakes which on the outside are very well presented but once you break the exterior and begin to eat they look much better then they taste. The tiramisu sponge was very dry and mango/coconut tasted like a cheap cocktail. Don’t worry, I do not work for another ice cream store I’m just a local with a toddler who loves gelato. I have read a lot of your reviews and notice the attitude in your response to the public. Accept feedback graciously because attitude doesn’t suit you....
Read moreFirst time at this gelateria, but probably the last. We walked in, the guy behind the bar busy blowing and wiping his nose. Then he proceeds to put his hair in a pony tail, right near the icecreams,which of course don't have sliding doors or anything,so who knows where his hair is falling.. Then turns around waiting for us to order. I'm waiting.. Surely he is going to go wash his hands... almost a minute passes as we stare at each other. He must have realised why I was just staring and not ordering. He then disappears at the back most likely to pretend to wash his hands, but we heard no water running or such. Honestly, yes I should have walked out, but couldn't bare to break the kids hearts by telling them they weren't getting ice cream , after walking in all excited. So definitely some training in hygiene and personal grooming is needed for the staff...

The staff member removed their mask to talk to customers and at one point was not social distancing with another customer whom had also removed their mask. No efforts were made to ensure that customers were social distancing. I had to keep moving away from other customers that were coming too close while I was at the counter placing an order. Staff also allowed too many people into the building.
Perhaps markings on the floor are needed or staff could ask customers to practice proper hygiene? I probably won't come back until the pandemic is over as I'm not sure if covid practices are...
