Moreland Hotel — Restaurant in Melbourne

I honestly wouldn't go back here again. Firstly they put our name in the bookings wrong so it took ages to find ours. Then the table we were placed on wasnt set up. There was nothing on the table and they had to set it up while we sat there! Our table was extremely uneven and wobbly and we were squished amongst everyone else.

We then had to wait in the line to order our food for 15 mins. The menu there is ridiculous and really needs work. The burgers dont list whats in them and the 3 staff memebers i asked all said they didnt know and that it was just "a beef burger" the staff should know whats in the food and should list it due to allergy reasons. Almost an hour later our food arrived and it wasnt worth the wait.

The best thing on the mix grill was the salad, all the meat was burnt or overcooked. The chicken burger i had was good but everything else was a let down.

The female toilets were absoultely appalling! I walked in and it smelt like faeces really badly! There was water and toilet paper all over the floor and two out of three toilets had urine on the seat. My partner had a birthday family dinner here recently. A table booking was 5:30 pm. We all ordered our food via the QR code on the table, we all ordered out food within 10mins. The order the food came out was so random. People who ordered after others got their meals first. People got a side dish but a good 25mins before their main meal which the side was meant to come with. It took a good 45mins for most to get their food but we couldn't eat together because it came out so randomly. After several meals incorrectly coming to our table, I finally got my food 55 minutes after ordering... 55 minutes. I was the last one left to eat and had to scoff my food as it was getting late and we wanted to have cake so people with children could go home. My schnitzel wasn't even good, thin and in a batter, basically a large chicken nugget. I don't understand how it was so messy, the place wasn't even busy when we put our orders in, how did it take so long. The hotel area is overwhelming huge . unfortunately my salad which consisted of a whole small bag of spinach 7 pieces of hard uncooked roast pumpkin and 2 cubes of sprinkled feta for $17 it was inedible returned to staff and they were i thought understanding and replaced me with another order . my friend's gravy for their steak was cold and that had to be returned to get heated . and they brought the main out before my other friend had finished the entree . The place was fairly empty for a Friday night and I can see why. its now 0540 hrs in the morning and i have severe diarrhoea so what did the cook do to my 2nd meal because I took my first meal back . we ordered hot drinks 3 hot chocolates came together but my friend's latte came after we had finished ours . As far as we could see there were only us 4 in the place initially there had been a table of 6 when we went in but they were gone by the time started our meal .
