If there was a negative star, I would have chosen that. Extremely disappointed as they sold the birthday cake I ordered for my husband to someone else. This incident has not only ruined my husbandâs birthday celebration but has also left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I ordered the Monte Carlo cake via phone on Tuesday together with a plaque which has my husbandâs name and happy birthday on it. Saturday afternoon I got a call from the shop at 1.46pm asking me when Iâm going to pick up the cake. At the time I just arrived the shopping centre so I told the guy I need to do my shopping first before I can pick up the cake. I then had lunch with my daughter and went to a few places in the shopping centre to do my stuff. At 4.24pm someone tried to call me again from the shop but I missed the call. when I was walking to the bakery and returning the call four minutes later they told me theyâve already sold the cake to someone else. When I got to the bakery there was no apologies, but blame me for not answering my phone and not prepaying the cake. And shamelessly asking me to buy something else. Do you know why people order specific cake for someoneâs birthday? Because they want to make sure they get what they want and that person only likes that particular cake!!! I never provide credit card details over the phone as itâs not secure. I have ordered many cakes before, via phone with no payment from Laurent Eastland and your shop without any problems. I donât understand why I get the blame this time . I have done everything possible so you know I was going to pick it up. 4.28pm is far away from closing time, whatâs the rush? I was told someone called me three times but my phone only showed one time. I returned the call four minutes later and it was already sold without my permission. Will never come back and will report this intolerable behaviour to the...
Read moreLaurent cafe is one of the favorite cafes I like to visit. But Iâm only writing this review due to their unpleasant customer service experience I get constantly when visit Glen Waverley branch.
Have to start with the manager!!!! This lady (Lee/Vietnamese) is rude towards the customers. She has no patience what soever till she serves the next customer. So irritatingly loud you feel like you went to McDonaldâs to grab a coffee. Secondly no respect towards customers, treating them as if they are no worthy and acts as if she owns the coffee shop!
Some of the other partners are the same too.
Iâm a regular there and I have stopped going regularly due to this unpleasant staff.
When I once went with my baby and was waiting for my husband to arrive and this manager comes and told me off to not stand with my pram and to sit down in a rude way, itâs the way she said it. She has a big attitude problem.
Another day for valentines I ordered a limited edition cake and when I went to pick up she was very hesitant to change the cake as most cakes were damaged on the top. And was mocking and muttering to her self. Just to cover up her rudeness she close the sale with âthank you darlingâ !!
I was so close to complain about her to the head office which I will. She is tarnishing the good vibes and the good name of the company!! No clue who hired her , surely from a fast food restaurant, canât be from a high standards maintained company. Please take action on her if the company is having a look at this review. Iâm sure most people must have felt the same but didnât take time to do a review on their...
Read moreI like Laurent cakes & savoury pastries and have been to different stores, but I've never experienced such rude service as I did today. Firstly, I waited to be served in the queue, but the girl served a guy behind me somehow before me, so when I was served by this blond girl, I simply said that I was here before him, then the girl gave me this look 'so what? I don't care' and said "OK". I ordered a few pastries & cakes. However, when I was nearly home and I opened the box, I found that she gave me one less item... I could just forget about the pastry, but I was so upset with that girl's rude attitude and she also didn't pack all the items (who knows if she did that on purpose?). So, I went back to the store and told her that she missed one item and charged me more than what I've received. Then, she said, "OK" BUT no sorry at all. However, the pastry I ordered and paid for was sold out by the time I got back. When I raised it with the girl who served me, again she didn't say sorry at all. Thankfully another staff member gave me a refund and did actually say sorry. When I said that the person that did the wrong thing should say sorry, the rude girl said "OK, sorry I didn't mean it". Of course, you shouldn't mean to charge me more and miss one item! I just wanted a sincere apology as she didn't do her job properly and made me go back. If she doesn't want to serve customers in an appropriate way, she shouldn't do customer service work. I didn't get her name, but she was the only blond girl working at 7pm shift...
