NeNe Chicken M-City — Restaurant in Melbourne

Went yesterday I was told there chicken was really hot as I enjoy hot food I hate hot sweet food I aaked all the questions I normally ask I asked any sugar or palm sugar or honey any tamarind anything sweet lady went and talked to guy preparing it came back and explained its 100% hot chilli nothing sweet I thought righto ill start with 6 pieces same for my wife I first I looked at it it looked like a shiny glaze thats normally a sign its sweet for me but I thought Okay I could be wrong I wasnt wrong it was so sweet my gums hurts I just spat it out my wife then started and she can eat sweet she said the lady lied it is sweet anyway not to make a fuss she helped herself to mine I went to go order something else but in all honesty I was that disappointed and frustrated with the fact I was lied to I just waited for my wife to finish eating and went somewhere else on the way out I quietly waited and told the lady it was really sweet she acted shocked and offered to put chilli powder on the chicken I said but you have cooked the sweet chilly into the food it would still taste sweet she looked confused I now personally when I went to korea there food wasnt sweet only in Australia the sweeten everything up the lady and the man were Chinese I dont think they new what they were doing perhaps stick to chinese food I hate being decived so basically I paid for there lies anyone who likes sweet food this is...

I can't post the review without giving them atleast one star...terrible I placed an order online. They called me back saying they are sold out but cannot cancel my order. And that they would refund my order with the delivery boy in a take away container. This is so weird. After a bit of argument I see my order is on the way. Now I don't know are they sending me the food or my money back in a take away container. This is the most terrible experience I have every had. Extremely poor service. I really don't feel safe eating from this place now. If they do not know how to handle the online portal, they should not be on it!! I have never had a restaurant ask me my account no!! Terrible

Today I ordered 2 burgers, the original and kimchi, and with each burger meal costing over $19 for their smallest option, I’d expect some level of a quality product. After waiting for a full 25 minutes when it was relatively quiet, I assumed we were in for a treat and Nene chicken must’ve spent that extra time making the freshest, best burger I’ve ever had. However, what I received was the saddest, soggiest burger of my life with it practically melting the thin paper casing the burger. The worst part of the whole endeavour though, was that even after all the time taken, with a very simple order, the two items were somehow both mislabeled as one another. With my famished stomach ready to envelope what was already such a visually depraved burger, I jumped right in only to discover that the kimchi was completely missing, and my mate didn’t have his burger either. Having to decide between wasting another half hour or living with their mistake, we grimly ate eachother’s burgers. Leaving the sopping debris behind, we were both left starkly disappointed and wished we had at least received napkins with our order to wipe up the mess and air of regret. 1 star.
