We gave up on going here or the one in Karingal hub. Must be same management because they're both terrible. Would normally never review a McDonald's but this is a joke. We kept putting the issues down to bad luck but it's very consistent problems. Basically if we order cheeseburgers then we rarely ever get onion or pickles on it, also maybe half a teaspoon of ketchup, sometimes no mustard, ingredients always missing. They only put one small blob of big mac sauce on the top bun, barely any sauce and again no onions and rarely pickles. Meat super dry, nuggets clearly are 3+ hours old, chicken patties always shriveled up and always saying shake/ice cream machine is "broken" - just say it's in cleaning mode and unavailable, sounds better than broken. How about changing self cleaning timer settings?
I was previously a McDonald's manager and the job can be hard but there's no excuse for the quality being so bad all the time. As the locals always say - it doesn't taste like McDonald's, go to a different one even if it's way further. You guys are not even 24 hours and to be honest I think your somewhat low volume and lack of 24 hrs is part of the problem. When you're preparing to shut the store at night, instead of getting out necessary ingredients for burgers, you just skimp with what you left out to avoid more work and any waste. The UHC timers are being reset over and over, thats the only way you end up with shriveled up meat and hard nuggets/chicken products.
And what's with parking every single car even if they made a TINY order? Yeah it improves your times but that's cheating if you do it by default to make times look better because the reality is it's upsetting customers and nearly causing accidents by people having to do weird maneuvers to get behind each other. Not to mention the staff having to walk in front of vehicles every 3 mins, dangerous for them, OHS issue. The point of parking is to keep the drive thru flowing and inconvenience 1 or 2 customers for the sake of a majority flowing through. If you're turning the drive thru into a pile up pit stop then that's defeating the purpose. People will feel like their visit took longer if you park them as opposed to if they waited at the window, even if it was the same 45 seconds. It increases risk of people getting the wrong order, and I've been parked numerous times and had staff run out with my order within 5 seconds, and all the people who were behind me were also parked or still at the window. It makes no sense.
Basically don't bother going here within 2 or 3 hours of closing time or you'll get shriveled up burgers with hardly anything on them. It's happened numerous times that I got a cheeseburger with dry meat, cheese, half tsp of sauce and nothing else. So I started PAYING for extra onions. So I got onions but then NO pickles and NO sauce. Wow. I've managed stores that closed and 24 hr stores, I did it for 6 years and we would have cars piling up in a highway from the drive through because it was that high volume. Then we'd have quiet times where you're trying to clean up because it looks like a bomb went off in there. We still didn't reset timers on food 3x or not put ingredients on burgers. If you're on a highway and not getting enough business to be 24 hrs then there's a big problem and the problem is the food is terrible and the staff always act in a big rushed panic even when it's quiet. I know from experience that young staff won't act in a panic when there's 4 cars in the drive through and attempt to park all 4 even if there's only 3 spaces, unless someone is pressuring them to behave like that. I don't know if the obsession with times and avoiding all wastage is coming from shift managers or store managers, operations manager or owner.. but you're not focusing on the customer experience, only the numbers, and that's why your sales aren't good enough to be 24 hrs. There's a difference between motivating your staff and stressing them out. Friendlier staff who feel confident in what they're doing combined with food that's up to standard will...

Read moreFunny how a star is needed, for a rating to be left....I hate the fact that due to the repugnant nature of the senior staff, and management there, the younger (eager to learn and do well) staff are facing the brunt of the complaints. We live local to this store, and have encountered many problems when ordering. When an issue is found, and the manager (on duty at the time) is called, the “resolution” is so lack lustre that it makes you wonder why you bothered. Here is an example, we paid over $50 tonight and within our order were 3 M frozen cokes, they were below half way down in the cup, 3 of the 5 burgers were so poorly put together that they had to be reassembled at home, and all of the food had to be microwaved, once home. As we live within a few houses of this restaurant, microwaving the food is ludicrous, yet even eating in store at this restaurant provides you with stone cold food. Upon calling the store (yet again disappointed) we are met with Jacob, the “store manager”....he proceeded to answer the phone with “wud up”...when asked if he was the manager and why was he answering the phone in that manner, he swiftly said “two secs I’ll take this in the office”...upon going into the office, he was unenthusiastic at the issues, he had the “icbf with this attitude”...when he finally asked how this could be made right, I said “ take your job seriously, train your staff properly, take pride in your role, the work is made fail proof, yet your staff are failing, due to your lack of a work ethic, if you can’t train them and don’t want to be there then just leave!”....I feel incredible sad for the young staff members there, as for most of them this is their first jobs. The people in “management” roles there are just disgraceful! They have no customer service skills, no work ethic and no passion nor care for the food that they hand out. At the end of the day, you pay your hard earned money for a promised product, and if the product and service is rubbish, without any sort of improvement...stop spending your money there. I hope that the young (willing to learn and excel) staff, get the mentors that they need....I sincerely hope that the “management” at this store are quickly moved on to...
