(wow this is turning into a wall of text!) Update May 22 Firstly should apologize to the people manning the drive thru on my second run - I didn't rant, but also hardly said a word and snatched the food and left. I know it wasn't their fault (I would have recognized the person who brought out my original order). OK. so. ordered by the app, was told they had better results with the orders through that. Didn't check the order because I didn't know what was in it, was just handed a phone so I could get my order ID. That was a mistake as it turns out. At the window they gave me the sundae and told me to wait in the bays again. Having learnt my lesson I handed back the sundae so I didn't have soup when I got home. Waited 10 minutes from when I checked my phone after waiting for a few minutes. Got the order and left. Girl that bought it out seemed nice and also bought a fresh sundae, so all good. Got home, they only gave me 1 chips instead of the 3 we ordered. Tried to call and couldn't get through so just drove back and got the rest. Staff were fine about giving stuff without asking for evidence, but I didn't get an apology. Finally downgrading my review to 1 star. I figure this may mean people discard it because I'm biased, and to be honest I am a bit biased against this maccas now. On the positive side - both times at the drive thru there was basically no wait at all, maybe I'm not the only person this happens to?
Update Mar 22 (yes the last time we went was 2 weeks ago - the next maccas run we'll probably drive a bit further afield). gave us sundaes at the window and told us to pull into a waiting bay for more than 10 minutes by which time they'd melted. They also managed to put in all 3 serves of chips upside down! Not sure how they managed that but doing all 3 took real commitment.
Update Feb 22 got home and realised there is hardly any of Maccas paper products aren't for recycling??? Wth? Taking a star off for that
Update Feb 22 tonight the order was right, only 'issue' was the large coke was I think about an inch from full... chips were a bit stingy too. Not enough to change my rating though, especially as it was very busy.
I haven't eaten McDonald's in a long while but the restaurant was fine (only did take away). Not too many people, plenty of self ordering stations, though one was blue screened. Staff were efficient and all good. Only problem was the core of the order for my son was 6 nuggets, we were given something that isn't nuggets, they're mcpieces or something that he hasn't eaten, so that was a bit disappointing...
Read moreEDIT : My family got dinner from here again tonight, only a few weeks after my review was originally posted, and you guys stuffed up again!! I had ordered an apple pie with my rewards points, only to not receive one in the bag. By the time we had realised, we had already driven home, so we couldn't be bothered complaining. This isn't the first time you guys have forgotten a whole food item. Also, how hard is it for you guys to include sauces in the bag when nuggets have been ordered??? What am I meant to dip my nuggets in? Air? When I used to work here, I'd give customers whole handfuls of sauces, but these workers here are obviously too lazy to read order screens and include the right items. Following back to one of my previous points, HOW HARD IS IT TO INCLUDE NAPKINS?? Does each individual napkin come out of each employee's paycheck or something? Is that why it is so hard to include a bunch of napkins in the bag? Once again, where am I meant to wipe my hands? On the tablecloth?? On my clothes??? Stop being so lazy and stingy and include napkins in the bag. It is not that difficult, unless you're hiring incompetent workers.
Tell me why you guys seem to be only hiring incompetent teenagers to staff your restaurant. during lockdowns, the food here was pretty good, my family never had any complaints, but as soon as all that ended, the service had just gone downhill.
The young workers on the front counter clearly don't want to be there or could care less about their job, and it shows through their customer service. Yes, it's a job at Maccas, but still act like you want to be there or at least fake it. I've worked here before and hated it, but I still tried to make sure everything was right for the customer.
The number of times we have eaten from here in the past year, probably 90% of our orders were missing some food item. how hard is it to read off the screen and pack orders correctly? and how hard is it to include napkins in the bag??
The only workers I see here who actually seem like they try their best with customer service is the managers so good...
Read moreI ordered 3 meals through drive through, the monitor was down so I could not see my order and I was in a hurry. I paid and even could not see how much I paid. Shockingly, they gave me one meal and told me I have to go back in the long queue as apparently only one order had gone through. Or I will need to go to restaurant and order there. The staff’s tone of voice was very rude and aggressive. I was in a hurry but my kids also were very hungry and got sad. I parked the car and went into restaurant. I talked to manager who surprisingly was really not very surprised and supportive. I ordered two more meals but after so long waiting the manager came and told me they had ran out of patties and they will give me another meal which has a bigger patty and a free meal for next time. She got my name for the free meal and then I waited for my food. However, the food did not turn out. I again asked for manager and she told me she meant to give me free food next time and there is no food on the way for what I have paid. I got very disappointed as that will not be called free food and I had paid for it already, her staffs started laughing and being rude talking very rude thing pointing out to me. I told the manager they are rude and this is not acceptable. She just told me she will talk to them without even raising her head or looking at them to stop them. I was in a hurry and I could not let them to get on my nerves and ruin my day anymore, so I just asked for my refund and left. However, I was thinking what a terrible customer service and above all what a terrible manager that staff insult the customer in front of her and she just watches.
