REVIEW: We chose to dine in and really soak up the ambience at McManos chicken bar. 🍽️ It's not built for dine in service, as we were armed with the task of cutting through 1/2 the chicken with a plastic knife. Luckily, when it got difficult at the bone, it was soft enough to be torn apart. Everything was also presented in plastic tubs. Nonetheless, the plates were durable, and it was nice to see the chips be made fresh on hand.

My interest was initially piqued because McManos was crowned best chips in 2019. Unfortunately, the crinkle cut chips are replaced with your standard thick cut fries. They were good with chicken salt, but not as unique as I was hoping for. 🥔🥔 The chicken skin is crispy and immersed with salt and flavour, while the meat itself is juicy. The best part is the stuffing, herby and moist, which is just the way it should be done. On to the sides, the gravy was a little gloopy, but it was better to have than none.

I have been going to McMano's chicken bar for a few years now, David (The Owner) is a lovely person who always greets you with a lovely smile. DO NOT be deceived by its shabby outdated signage from the outside... I truly believe that this could probably be the "BEST" place you can go locally to Yarraville/Seddon/Footscray for some AWESOME hot chips.

The prices @ McMano's chicken shop is very affordable and David always gives you a very generous amount.

My usual order would be: 1/4 Chicken & Chips with a small gravy on the side with a can of soft drink.

Don't take my word for it, please do yourself a favour and next time you're around town.. drop in and purchase yourself some HOT CHIPS.. EXTREMLY AWESOME TASTING / FRESH & CONSISTENT EVERY SINGLE TIME.
