Milton Wine Shop — Restaurant in Melbourne

Such a gorgeous little spot in Malvern. On a cold, rainy afternoon, Milton’s warmth and coziness made me instantly forget the weather outside. I dined as a pair, and we were seated at a bar table tucked against what felt like a library of wine bottles – such a beautiful backdrop.

We came in for an early dinner, which was perfect since the menu is small, making it easy to pick a couple of dishes to share. We ordered the baked vodka rigatoni, the smoked potato pizza, and some olives to start. Everything was delicious, and I paired it all with a Tommy’s margarita that was spot on.

The atmosphere was moody and vibey – perfect for catching up with a friend over food and drinks. The service was warm and attentive, adding to the whole experience. I’ll definitely be back soon, especially to try their pasta night on Tuesdays...

We got to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon in the outdoor area in the back. So cosy! The smell of smoke from the fireplace’s was so welcoming. The staff were knowledgeable about the wine and very friendly and helpful. We made alterations to a set menu and they were so accommodating. To top it off the food was delicious. I’ve really enjoyed my past visits to Milton. The wine list is exciting and interesting and the service is casual and personable. I just wish they would diversify their menu offerings a bit more as it is heavily pizza oriented. Whilst the pizza is really good this does limit how much I want to go there as it is a limited choice for dinner. Adding some pasta or other simple main course specials would be...
