My sister and I came here on a Saturday for brunch. I very much enjoyed the atmosphere and overall vibe of the cafe. The staff were friendly and efficient. We both decided pretty quickly what we wanted to order and were quickly served by a lady. I ordered the pan-fried salmon and my sister ordered the mushrooms on toast. Although my salmon, potato salad, and sweet potato crisps were delicious, I devoured the food within ten minutes; it was definitely not enough! Maybe it was a small serving, or maybe I was just a very hungry girl! Anyway, my sister said that her mushrooms on toast were slightly cold, but she didn't bother to ask them to heat it up because we aren't really fussy eaters. Overall, I really enjoyed coming to this cafe and I think the food was tasty, customer service was friendly and quick, and the food was also delivered quite quickly. Hence I have given 4/5 stars! Thank you very much :) Update: I came here for a second time with 3 others on a Tuesday at midday for some lunch. We ordered a selection of food and drinks, including the baked gnocchi, Eggs Benedict, salmon and iced chocolate. Once again, the customer service was excellent and food was tasty. Thank you Mr Foxx!

Decided to take myself out for brunch to kill some time. Benedict was delicious, I could have licked the plate clean of that hollandaise! I wanted to sit a bit longer and read my book so I figured I’d order a coffee when asked just to keep my table. Well maybe it was because it was a quiet weekday and they just wanted bums on seats to look full, but no one approached me to ask if I wanted anything after my plate was cleared… which I appreciated as I didn’t really want another coffee, I just wanted to sit a little longer! Wait staff were attentive when patrons looked like they wanted something - I saw the tables around me ordering second coffees with ease and had I actually wanted to order I definitely could have done so. But I love that they didn’t feel the need to bother people who weren’t looking around for attention. It was nice being able to sit almost another hour without having to spend more money. I put that down to it being as I said a quiet weekday and a full cafe looks more inviting than an empty one. Might be different on a weekend! I’d happily kill some time with a book there again :)

My ‘Go To’ place for breakfast in Melbourne if I’m in the south-eastern suburbs, and it did not disappoint. Good variety of food and drinks, great coffee, pots of real leaf tea, fresh orange juice, water arrived as we sat down. The menu is not extensive but it has the right amount of variety and caters for vegans, lactose intolerant diners and ordinary people who like their food. I have always enjoyed every meal I’ve had there and just loved my smashed avocado, feta and pomegranate on multi-grain toast. Back to Melbourne = back to Mr Foxx. Comparable to Archie’s all-day in Fitzroy (and that’s saying something).

What would you say if I tell you that you'll pay $18.50 for a cup of coffee and 2 poached eggs with 2 small gluten free toasts that will take slightly over 15 minutes to serve? And that the food would be bland. That too when you have told them that you're pressed for time. Most likely you'd say no. And that's what I'm saying too. I visited Mr. Foxx when a friend insisted that it was one of the best ones on that side of the town. I drove nearly 20 minutes to go there. Totally unimpressed! I will not discount the politeness and friendliness of the staff though. The cafe is also at a strategic location.

I saw this bohemian corner cafe while passing and decided to stop for a quick coffee. Ended up have a small chat with the staff there - who were absolutely warm, welcoming and lovely! - Coffee was top notch - There were other patrons scattered around tables who all seemed to be enjoying themselves and the food (which is why I am giving the food 5 stars based on observations) - Looking forward to trying some of the dishes next time I am in Glen Iris. - Hamish John Appleby / APPLEBY PHOTOGRAPHY

Whilst there was no big breakfast in sight on the current menu... Mr Fox proved that good things sometimes come on small plates! Whilst the meals from both the lunch and breakfast menus weren’t a feast on a plate they were packed full of flavour and are certainly insta worthy! The venue itself was quite quaint and it appeared there was also a courtyard out back! Staff were prompt and there was no need to ask for water! Can’t wait to come back and try other items on the delicious menu!
