I have been a loyal customer for many years, but unfortunately, I feel the need to share my first disappointment. Today, I attempted to use my reward card to claim a free coffee, as I understood the policy to be “buy 10, get 1 free.” However, I was informed by the new staff that my claim was not valid because the “free” box on my card had already been ticked.

I knew that this box had been marked on Monday, March 31st, at 11:36 AM by a staff member. At the time, I was unaware that the box should only be ticked when actually redeeming the free coffee. It seems that the staff member who marked it may not have been aware either, as I was still charged $6.20.

This misunderstanding led to an awkward situation today. While I appreciate that the staff followed protocol in refusing my claim, it’s frustrating that a rewards program is in place without clear communication to both staff and customers about how it works. If a program like this is meant to enhance customer loyalty, proper training and transparency are essential.

Friendly staff, nice place for a sit down breakky. My usual pot of English breakfast with my unusual added byo flavours was met with out a drama.. mud cake was extremely small compared to what im used to and definatly not alluring me back.. breakky was lovely beside the fact that pepper was used to pretty up the plate ( personally I hate pepper once more to make a dish look pretty.. eh not my cup of tea.. ) none the less after wiping the cherry tomatoes free from pepper and the tiny amount that made it onto my eggs , that aside the bacon, chorizo and avocado went down a treat.. good food good service truly recommend... but if your after a decent hit of mud cake ( which is my be all end all ) this isn't the place.. ill be looking for another cake shop that hits home on...

Stood there waiting like a moron the guy in front took his time the lady then did a bunch of other things put cups away made a coffee then took the order of a guy who just walked in the second person came to the counter then took the order of the second person that walked in even after I said I guess I’m invisible the customer then tried to back off I said no you can go I’ll go after you huff after they took her order they went off to take a sandwich and coffee to a table when the other customer said what about him I was asked did you order I said I’ve been standing here for 10 minutes waiting behind the guy 2 customers ago I then said you know what I’m over it later and left shocking service shame it looks like a nice place it wasn’t...
