Today we made our way to the East, simply to try all the baked goodies from AM Bakehouse in Glen Iris 🤤 You are instantly met with such lovely and welcoming owners and get an insight of how the magic is made as you look into their kitchen behind the counter! We ended up falling in loooove with their Passionfruit and mango cruffin - no faults at all, just pure flakiness with liquid gold curd filling 😚🤌🏼 Also tried their Apple Crumble Croissant while dining in and it was so perfectly balanced, just the right amount of cream, sweetness and pops of apple! What we ordered: 🥭 Passionfruit and Mango Cruffin 🍋 Lemon Baba 🥜 Pistachio Escargot 🍏 Apple Crumble Croissant 🍫 Triple Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant Can’t wait to come back and try their Biscoff Croissant Wheel and savoury sausage rolls, this is definitely one to save for the books!

Don't let the subtle signage prevent your tastebuds from experiencing this wonderful bakery. The sweet treats here are genuinely fantastic - fresh, delicious, flakey and clearly made to have every bite enjoyed and not just photographed for Instagram. They have a few rotating specials alongside their regular items. I can highly recommend the cruffins (the cheesecake filled ones are particularly yummy), kouign-amann, and brioche feuilletine. There are also savoury items as well but I've not tried many of them (what I have eaten though has been delicious too). There is a chance you might drive past it because the signage is tricky to spot. So if you are driving I'd suggest grabbing a spot on Malvern Road and walking around the corner.

Last week, I visited this bakery that came highly recommended for its pastries. After hearing so much hype, I decided to make the trip, even though it required nearly an hour on public transport. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the expectations. The pastries at this bakery are a classic example of "looks can be deceiving." While they certainly looked appealing in the display case, the taste was far from satisfying. The pastries lacked the flakiness and buttery richness that one expects from a quality bakery. Instead, they had a doughy texture, similar to the standard croissants you might find at Woolworths. Given the time and effort it took to visit this bakery, I was thoroughly disappointed. The pastries were not worth the journey, and I regretted spending so much time and money on what turned out to be a lackluster experience. If you're in Melbourne and looking for a bakery, I would suggest exploring other options that truly deliver on taste, not just appearance.

Good croissants. I recently tried the croissant cone and it was nice. The croissant itself was very buttery but it wasn't as crispy and flakey as some other croissants I've had before, although, the soft serve made it enjoyable to eat. I felt like the pricing for the croissant cones was a little deceptive as although they are advertised as $10 if you get a topping, it is an additional 80 cents which isn't made explicitly clear as there is no signage and the way the toppings are offered connote that it is included within the $10 cost. I'm not saying this to be rude or anything, it just would have been nice to know beforehand so I wasn't surprised by the extra cost when I went to pay.

Ordered most of the sweet pastries that was available at the time and a few savory goods for takeaway. The pastries were a balance of crispiness and softness, sweet and a little buttery. A handful of them were variations of chocolate paired with Nutella, custard, hazelnut etc. which is great for a chocolate fan. Very tasty and not too sweet; the Nutella and coffee custard cruffin and the apple filled croissant were the highlight for it's uniqueness and flavour. The croque monsieur was the favourite of the savory ones; rich buttery and very flaky, filled with a good amount of tasty cheese and ham. Overall a great bakery with plenty of sweet and savory varieties to choose from.

I’ve heard about you guys for so long, finally got to go on a day off. Got a plain croissant 🥐 (as I always do with any bakery), the viral Biscoff & Ube Cruffin. The price was decent for the size of the pastries offered. The croissant was huge! Great honeycomb pattern, but I must say the flavor is not the best I have had, and probably just the batch I got, but it’s on the dry side as well. It’s good, just not impressive. However, the Biscoff and Cruffin were delicious. Not too sweet, the filling ratio was just right, generous but not overwhelming. I’ll definitely get them again. Will come back to try other pastries. P/s: I really crave a good kouign amann, just saying 😂
