We have been going to miss chu for so long but just feel the last few years it’s losing its touch, cutting corners and upping prices and slashing portions. I work in hospo so know that the cost of goods is increasing and get the whole covid effect. We dined in today staff dropped off a bao bun for my partner and walked off dropping our dumplings at the table a few down, realising the mistake the waitress tried to almost rip the bao bun out my partners mouth demanding it wasn’t for him. Firstly he did order a bao bun but it was your mistake you gave it to us by mistake. She then ripped our dumplings off the other table and dumped them on our table. All the other food arrived but not my chicken bites. I see her drop chicken bites off to the other table again, funny they ask for a take away box for them and run out the door (after ages and mine not coming it dawns on me that the ones the other table ran off with were in fact mine) I ask where mine are and I’m made to feel like a criminal. All I want is my meal. We would have ordered more mains etc but this s**t show was enough for me, not to mention green tea spilt on our table after we finished eating, no apologies for the cluster of errors or any care whatsoever so ever. Sad to say our love of miss chu ended tonight and after the poor presentation of food, tiny portions, and horrendous service we...
Read moreMarch 2025 update: We visited Miss Chu last night and it was great. Excellent service and delicious food, good serves and fair prices. We had ginger prawn dumplings and salmon rice bowls. (They now serve them with a dressing which makes all the difference!)
Original: We’ve been to this place a number of times and it used to be great for a meal after the movies or a quick dinner with friends. So I was happy to head here the other night for a catch up with w a friend who was staying around the corner. Well, something seems to have changed as far as the food goes. The service is still the same- prompt and efficient ( you order via QR code so there really isnt much interaction) but the food has changed. Gone are the delicious flavours, replaced by tasteless nothingness. I had the salmon rice bowl and my husband had the pho and we both came out saying the same thing. My salmon was dry, with no flavour, the quinoa/ rice bland and unflavoured with a few greens. Thank god for the siracha bottle on the table or there would have been nothing to save it. My husband felt the same about his pho. Hope they see this review and fix...

The restaurant was pretty much empty, only 3 tables filled and the lady who greeted us asked us to sit on one of the high tables at the back. I politely asked if it was possible to sit on one of the lower tables as I had a sore back. She seemed absolutely disgusted even though there were plenty of tables available. She told us well all these tables are booked, you can have this one but have to be gone in 45 minutes. We said that’s fine but she was so nasty it made me really upset. We stayed for 45 minutes as instructed and by the time we left there was only one other table occupied. The food is good but found dumplings a bit soft / sloppy.
2020 review: Best takeaway Uber Eats dinner in Melbourne! Love their dumplings and chicken curry and the food is always delivered fresh and well packaged. We order from here...
