The food at Kolonakis is outstanding no question about that.

The bad - Friday night dine-in. The service is terrible, waited over an hour for food almost an hour and a half. It is clear that food delivery apps and dine in cannot co-exist and keep everyone serviced in a timely manner. The kitchen could not keep up and the wait staff were overwhelmed running between the kitchen and front counter. Dishes were also piling up in the middle of the restaurant.

The only reason this is not 1 star is because 1. The food is awesome and 2. The staff were very very understanding and did the best with the situation.

I don't know about the gyros, but the platter was just really really really bad. As food lovers, we rarely leave food on our plates - we ordered the platter and I barely ate. Salad was terribly seasoned with low quality ingredients, the meat quality was not great and was covered with butter and lemon (why???????). I am surprised by the reviews saying this is authentic Greek food, either it's from a different part of Greece or we didn't order the same dishes. Ambiance and service were average.
