the seafood laksa tasted like something you could make at home with a packet, and the portion of protein was not worth the price large portion of menu unavailable food did not match description the front of house staff were both lovely and seemed genuinely apologetic.
I wish I had read the reviews for this place before coming - I would have seen there was a massive drop in quality of food after a change of ownership. They do not deserve the 4 star rating they have.
The laksa was nondescript, was light on the seafood, ingredients were misrepresented on the menu, and the both was dull and lacked flavour.
It does not feel good to leave negative reviews on restaurants in today’s climate, understand these are difficult times for owners but the experience I had at this restaurant tonight was extremely poor.
They were sold out of the two dishes I wanted by 7pm, there was a 40 min wait on anything with fried chicken, which left me to get something I thought I would be happy with.
They brought out my partners food, went back inside then told me that the meal I had ordered and paid for was unavailable - frustrating but I was not going to just sit there and watch my partner eat, so I ordered something else, annoying but if the food was good then whatever…
They brought out my substituted meal and I was disappointed to see that this also did not match the description on the menu, it was missing ingredients (clams and vermicelli), so it’s like they ran out of more food again but instead of being upfront about it provided the meal with missing elements.
They also forgot to bring out our drinks, then when mentioned they come out to tell us they have ran out of the drink we purchased. It was comical at this point.
By the time we were finishing up our meal the FOH staff came out to check in with us as I think he could tell we weren’t having a positive experience, he was very kind and reciprocative of the feedback. He asked me for my phone number/contact details (not sure why??) and offered 50% our next visit - we will not be back, the food we tried was not worth even half price.
I would have left to get something else if you had told me the item (third preference) I wanted was not available. Left me in an awkward situation where I had to just accept it and get something else since my partner was already eating his meal.
2 stars for the quality of our meal and 1 for the management. 5 stars for the lovely two gentleman working the front.

Read moreThe vibes are off.
I would always and happily overlook lacklustre ambiance and a little bit of dirt and grime for vibes and great food but honestly this place offers nothing.
We ordered a vego laksa after having a great experience here the first time around. The guy asked if we wanted it mild, medium or spicy, which wasn't asked the first time we came around but whatever, we persevered and chose 'medium'.
The laksa came out with a suspicious pile of red powder on top, weird. Have never seen this on a laksa. But again, we trust in the institution and happily mixed in the ominous red dust into the rest of the soup.
After two bites, a mild convulsion and a serious coughing fit later, I summoned the courage to politely ask for a replacement bowl of laksa. Wasting $19 on inedibly hot and spicy laksa?! In this economy?! No thanks.
Mans at the counter proceeded to attempt to gaslight me by saying that the spice level was indeed 'medium' (okur sir, my deeply disturbed gut begs to differ) but that he would replace it in good faith.
After a few minutes sitting awkwardly by the sticky tables, staring at the collection of dust and dirt gathering in the corners of the vibeless establishment, the same bowl of laksa soup came out, but don't worry because he topped it up with more soup! Problem solved!
Just kidding it was still excruciatingly hot. We were uncomfortable. We didn't finish our food and we wasted our money on an annoying lunch and an even more annoying experience.
Anyways left the place after providing some polite feedback but the man in question did not want to take accountability. If I wanted to feel gaslit by a man who doesn't listen to my concerns, or care to fix his mistakes, I'd call my dad lol
Point is:...
Read moreTotal disaster. Ordered a day before for delivery to arrive at 5pm the next day. However, Doodey (delivery platform) sent us 3 text messages throughout the day, each time postponing the delivery, first 2:10pm or 1 hour after, then 4pm and then 5:52pm. Not surprising, the food arrived cold but not only that, both orders of nasi lemak (traditional original - most popular) did not come with chilli sambal after all the wait. When we called up Nasi Lemak House, Anika advised that chilli sambal is an option on their Nasi Lemak House website. However on their delivery website, Doodey, there are 3 options for customer to choose for nasi lemak; 1) Traditional Original 2) Shrimp 3) Sweet Chilli. Clearly there is a mismatch between the 2 platforms in which the Doodey platform did not translate the order correctly to Nasi Lemak House which had caused the wrong order. Anika claimed she would contact her manager Elaine but could not deliver the Sambel Chilli sauce which was missing in the order. When there was no reply from her, we called again and she said that they could not deliver today but another day. Very frustrating when we were past our dinner time on Fathers' Day. Fortunately Hassan from Doodey called and at first offered to deliver the Sambal Chilli sauce on our next order another day. He has good customer service skills as when we said that we were not confident with making our next order again, he offered full refund of the 2 nasi lemak order straightaway. He also explained the reason why the food arrived stone cold was because of the distance which is around 10km. So do not order home delivery if you live far away like 10km. Enough said. Will we order the next time ? Definitely not because they are better...
