Science Gallery Melbourne — Attraction in Melbourne

A bit overrated gallery, in my opinion. I may be wrong. But that is what you get as free service. I could not see much of science. There were displays on old eastern mythical rituals, some display on why Asians are not represented in Hollywood movies (so what?) Why are Western people not represented in Chinese movies? These are not a good theme of science gallery. Please focus on science and not on political agenda or unscientific eastern black magic. Don't waste Australian tax payers money on non scientific stuff. I am not Australian but I found this as waste. Will add...

This place is fantastic, with a cute little healthy cafe. Displaying the bottles of your drink choices in a place that could be seen at all would help, as he had to pull samples from the cooler to show us. Poor design easily fixed with a display.

Brilliant exhibit on currently called Mental. Do go see it and have a play with the art! We've been twice.

My only other comment on the building design is that the staircase down to classes (as seen in pics) is really not human friendly and I suspect there will be accidents as it's on an...

Excellent thought provoking gallery. The AI components were fascinating & loved "printing my thought". Entertained the 4 year olds in our group too, with the adults all wanting to return & explore indepth. Staff were friendly & excellent at explaining the displays & assist in the interaction. Coffee shop on site. Free admission too. Excellent, excellent addition to draw people back into the city....
