I can attest to the other reviews here!!! This place truly deserves 5 stars. I am a huge fan of fish and chips, and so I enjoy trying local fish and chip shops whenever I chance upon them. This is the best fried snapper and chips I’ve ever had!!! The snapper is fresh and sweet and so juicy. The batter is just the right ratio too!!! Too many places coat the fish too much but this place has the PERFECT ratio!!!! The owner is so kind and his daughter is so sweet!!! When you are there, his daughter will love to chat with you about how she loves princesses :) I’m definitely coming again!!! My new favourite fish and chips store!!! ❤️❤️ Btw, I highly recommend the fried snapper with chips. It is so so delicious!!!!

I'm so glad I found this place best fish and chips I've ever had. The owner is so lovely and best customer service I've had at a takeaway restaurant. Fish crumbed was so nice for a change and the fried even tasted great! Chips perfectly salted, calamari was so soft and the dim dims were in a sort of tempura batter and fried to perfection!!!! Will be back again !

Great service and really good Fish and Chips. The Crumbed Fish was excellent. We went here several times while staying nearby for a few days. Wish it was closer to where I lived. The gentleman working there was extremely friendly and the food was freshly made each time in about 5-10 minutes. Good prices, good food. Highly recommend.

I hope this place never closes down. It raises so many questions — why is there a Japanese guy running a london themed fish and chip shop? How is there a fish shop smack in the middle of concrete high rises and bougie brunch places? Why is there Christmas decor and a lawn table inside?

How this glorious anomaly has stood the test of time, despite no social media presence, is a testament to its food. Cheap prices, fantastic fish and chips and better than anything you’d get from fish and chip stores near the beach.

No 1 Old London seafood should be heritage listed for its contribution to South Yarra. It has somehow outlasted every single restaurant on Claremont and Yarra st. The owner better make his kids take over the shop when he retires because the day this place shuts down, is the day I will move out of South Yarra. Long live No 1 Old...

Tucked away behind station, this place is a hidden gem! I ordered the grilled fish and chips, the calamari pack, and 2 cans of soft drink for $28. It's an absolute steal for the massive portion size. The calamari was tender and crunchy, the fish perfectly seasoned, moist, and flakey. The chips were fat and deep fried without being oily, and coated in a good amount of chicken salt.

I will absolutely be coming back!!
