Another cafĂ© gem I discovered near South Yarra! After a hectic and long day, we decided to treat ourselves to a hearty brunch that could last us until dinner. The menu here is extensive, offering everything from simple sandwiches and croissants to burgers and even duck confit. One standout dish was the chili scrambled eggs—fresh and flavorful, with chorizo, pickles, crispy shallots, and salsa verde served on chili toast. It had a unique twist with a gentle spiciness that really woke up our taste buds. A great fusion of Asian and Western flavors. You can’t go wrong with the Eggs Benedict either. This version was served with rolled ham hock, beetroot feta sauce, guindilla, and sriracha hollandaise on toast—it was rich, balanced, and satisfying. We also tried the Wagyu beef burger with chips, which was indulgent and well-executed. Another highlight was the Shakshuka, a classic Middle Eastern breakfast dish made with chorizo, capsicum, zucchini, hazelnuts, dukkah, black olives, feta, poached eggs, and pita bread. Packed with fresh ingredients, it was vibrant and comforting. The almond croissant made for a lighter bite and paired nicely with the coffee. The only slight disappointment was the duck confit from the specials menu—we were expecting a full cut of duck, but it came shredded with grains and vegetables, making it more of a light dish. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would highly recommend this place. It’s definitely worth a stop!

Delicious meal. Quick service, I loved how extensive the menu was. Lots of great seating options including outside. Food came out quickly, drinks were delicious- I recommend their matcha.

This place is so cute and had beautiful interior! The staff as so friendly and the service is amazing. The soba noodles was really nice and there was a generous amount of noodles provided and the tofu was cooked and seasoned beautifully! The portition size was very filling and worth the $18. The pistachios added nice crunch to this dish, giving it some more texture. There was a nice variety of vegetables however it would have been nice to get a few more of them. The eggplant dish was devine! so many textures and flavours and it looked so vibrant too! the salad itself had so many elements that all worked so well together and was beautifully seasoned. The eggplant was cooked perfectly and worked so well with the salad on top. The hummus was such a beautiful colour and tasted stunning too! The pancakes were so light and fluffy!! there was so many different elements on the dish and they all work in conjunction with eachother. The pancakes were generous as well as the toppings and additions. The mascapone was amazing to cut through the sweetness of the dish and the fruit added really nice freshness. The rhubarb and raspberry compote was tart but sweet at the same time which worked really well with the sweet pancakes. It would have been nice to get a few more pistachios or something else crispy to add some more crunch to the dish. The potato rosti were so so crispy and flavourful and the drink were Delish and refreshing! A must try cafe!!

This is the gold standard of breakfast & brunch in South Yarra. Before I lived in Melbourne, I found myself visiting this cafe more than once and since living in the area have visited countless times. The only thing that keeps me away is the sheer volume and popularity which means I'm not able to grab a seat sometimes.

I've eaten my way through the menu and there is very little that I wouldn't recommend. My personal favourite is the Ham Hock Eggs Benedict - a delicious spin on traditional benedict which includes a gorgeous betroot smear, tantilisingly flavour packed ham hock patties, perfectly poached eggs resting on delicious hollandaise. My other favourites include the soba noodle salad which is plentiful, fresh and filling. Also the Breakfast Board, and the hotcakes. The only thing I would not recommend are the burgers (sorry team - it's too messy to eat and falls apart like a house of cards mid meal).

The staff and extremely charismatic owner are a key reason to return - they are kind, quick to service and manage to actually hold a conversation. There are obviously huge stress points during breakfast and lunch rushes but I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a meal.

Outside the rushes, the atmosphere is really lovely - expect lo-fi serene beats playing in the background with gorgeous natural light, spacious seating and high windows which really let the light in. This is my #1 recommended place for eating...
