❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 coming in hot! 🔥🔥🔥 🏠: @norathai_melb 📍: South Yarra
📝: 🌶️ Authenticity on every plate, with a bold emphasis on spiciciness, one of the most prominent characteristics of Southern Thai cuisine. The owner’s warm welcome made the experience even more memorable – a true taste of Thai hospitality! 🔥 She even offered us extra rice on the house after seeing how much we were dying from the spiciness of the food, but kind of my fault for asking for spicy (no pain no gain right) 🤣
❤️: The highlight for me? Nora Thai’s special menu stole the show! 🌟 The 💛🍗Chicken & Turmeric Soup was a fragrant masterpiece, bursting with flavor in every clear spoonful. A delightful surprise that proves simplicity can be sensational. As for the 🌶️🐽 Stir Fried Pork Ribs Curry, it’s a symphony of taste – savory, spicy, and utterly delicious. Paired with rice and roti, it’s a culinary journey that lingers...
Read moreWanted to get some Thai food near home, so my partner and I decided upon this spot after looking through Google. We made a reservation prior, arrived and were seated. The few tables at the venue were occupied and they looked quite busy. We placed our drinks and food orders and received the drinks in a few minutes. However, after waiting for more than 1 hour, my partner decided to ask them where our food was as we had only ordered two dishes, the fried chicken and Southern Crab curry with coconut rice as a side. As we're both chefs too, we understand that sometimes a ticket can be missed, so we waited patiently. The FOH informed us that they're checking where the food is. After 20 more minutes, we received the food, which was good.
This is just a review left in order for the venue to improve on the time it takes for the food...
Read moreWe had previously eaten at Luck Thai - takeaway and found out there’s new owners and thought ‘ oh well give it a go’.
The food was not as expected. Menu items have gone, which I guess is not a major thing but the menu items we tried ( after a few gos of asking what is on and what is off) that have stayed were not as you’d want them. The spring rolls were OK, the pad kee mao beef was very bland, no flavour beyond heat. Not much veg either. The Tom yum was not vibrant, pretty muddy flavour actually and but prawns were big and had a few of them.
Would we return ? Not without some sort of incentive to try again unfortunately. There are too many other options calling our name. A pity but I hope for the owners sake it is just teething problems with new management. Let’s hope it picks up as it’s a tough...
