Visited here for lunch a day past boxing day. Although the place looked pretty basic but (1) the ice cream is very nice and creamy (we had the strawberry and rum & raisin - both were very authentic); and (2) the fish and chips - fish was fresh with nice thin batter. Chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Salad was fresh. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were a bit over loaded as it was a public holiday but they handled the pressure quite well. All in all we would recommend this place for the ice cream and fish & chips. Not sure about the chicken or other food.

Sorry Olinda chip shop to have to write this review. I feel that you need the recognition for your continued tiny portion sizes as well as your high prices. The portion size has to be the smallest in any chip shop throughout Victoria. Usually a portion of chips is around 5 dollars and feed at least 3 people. Yours are six dollars and only just about feed one. The chips taste ok though is a positive. Sort it out Olinda fish & chips

Me and my partner came up to Olinda for a weekends and found this lovely fish and chips cafe run by a friendly couple. The flake is substantial and the small chips is plenty for 2 people. All under $28.00!!! We will certainly come back again and highly recommended and love supporting small business 💝

We didn’t get part of our order. Minimum chips wouldn’t even feed two people let alone a family of 4. The portions are tiny! The staff asked my husband to taste the fish before he left the shop because they had had complaints?! Shame as it’s our closest fish and chip shop but I would not recommend!
