Visited at 5.30 pm on 12 June 2024. I reserved a table for 2 people last night and got a table easily. By 7.20 pm, there were only 2 tables empty (the front area). So book early. I ordered one order (for the 2 of us) of mix combo (beef, chicken, and pork) that came with a bean paste (or kimchi) stew for about AUD81. It was value for money, considering that I had nine delicious side dishes and one seaweed soup. (In Finland, where I live, I had to pay for the side dishes!) I couldn't finish the meat and had to give up 3/4 into the meal. This was indeed a huge portion for 2 people. Beef was especially tender and much better than my experience in bbq restaurants in Seoul and Jeju (about 5 years ago). I liked the fresh sesame leaves and lettuce. The mango apple soju was delightful. Service was prompt and rather proactive. I'd return again! No hardcopy menu, though; only iPad.

OG Korean BBQ spot 🔥🥩 @paiksbbq If you’re looking for an authentic K-BBQ experience in Melbourne, you need to head down to Paik’s BBQ! 🔥 This place is always packed so you know it won’t disappoint! 🙌 What I love about Paik’s is the HUGE variety of side dishes they provide (and yes they’re refillable) - and they don’t skimp on the lettuce leaves for wrapping either! 🥬 Their combo sets are a great way to try a variety of cuts for good value 👌 I also highly recommend trying their signature Yeoltan Bulgogi which is absolutely packed with flavour! 🌶️ Don’t forget to order some of their larger sides - the Seafood and Leek Pancake was perfectly crispy and thick, and the Steamed Eggs was so fluffy and cheesy! 🧀 Featured: 🥩 Mix Combo with Kimchi Stew ($82.8) 🥓 Yeoltan Bulgogi (spicy pork) ($24.8) 🍤 Seafood and Leek Pancake ($23) 🥚 Steamed Eggs with Cheese ($14.8)

Recently, I visited Paik’s BBQ Melbourne, the restaurant by Korea’s famous chef and Culinary Class Wars judge, Mr. Paik! It’s the perfect spot for epic Korean BBQ, with generous portions that won’t break the bank. I ordered the Beef Combo, which was packed with top-quality cuts and seasoned just right—definitely worth it. I also tried the Yeoltan Bulgogi, which was tender and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The Steamed Eggs with Cheese were light and fluffy, perfect to balance the BBQ, and the DIY Rice Balls added a fun, hands-on twist to the meal. This spot is an absolute win for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Korean BBQ with friends! What I tried: Beef Ribs Meat+Beef Finger Ribs+Marinated Beef Thin Skirt + Classic Pork and Kimchi stew $99.8 Yeoltan Bulgogi (spicy pork) $24.8 Steamed Eggs with Cheese $14.8 DIY Rice Balls $9.8

Really glad we had dinner here! Been to many kbbqs before and this one is definitely one of the tops for me. The service staff are really attentive. The meat (we ordered Wagyu Scotch fillet and pork belly) was good quality. Everything came with many side dishes - there were at least 5 of them! I guess I'm excited about this because many places have stopped giving so many and I've even been to one that gave none. We got a big tray of lettuce for the pork belly wraps included too. I've literally had to pay for this elsewhere before so that was also nice to have. Total order was $101 for two people: Wagyu Scotch fillet, 2 X pork belly (these were discounted on Tuesdays), japchae and rice. We brought home half the japchae and left with food comas. Could have ordered much less tbh.
