Been there with my friend for lunch.
Food was not great, and was even less due to uncomfortable conditions – Too loud music.
Technically, I have no issues with background music - I like it and I think it’s nice and fun, and until now restaurants I visited, had played music at a tolerable level.
It was absolutely noisy there. I could barely hear my friend talking. I asked the waitress if they can lower the music a bit because I couldn't hear my friend - I'll admit her expression worried me. She looked terrified to ask such a question from the manager.
So, after we ordered food, I caught the attention of the manager (I assumed he was the manager from his body language). And signed him if he could lower the music a bit because my ears started to ache. From his reaction, I assumed he would lower the music – But he didn’t (I could tell by the level of pain in my ears).
I will note that it made the staying extremely uncomfortable for us, and my friend suggested we leave the place even when she hadn’t finished her food.
I’m giving you the lowest score because you didn’t consider your customers' comfort. I didn’t ask you to move a mountain. I only asked to lower the music to a reasonable volume that doesn’t hurt ppl’s ears.
To summarise this visit: If people wish to eat and chat with their companions without ending up with pain in ears and sore throats, I’d recommend...
Read moreA visit to Perasma is a must. The food and service is excellent. We had the spanakopita and bougatsa, washed it down with a freddo cappuccino. This is as close as you're going to get to authentic Greek pastries and coffee, just like being in Greece. Oh and their freshly baked white bread is amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome. There is take away, or if you have time, you can sit outside (all undercover so there is shelter from the elements). Well done guys, keep up the good work. Perasma has now become our new, regular stop for great coffee and food. Highly...
