Definitely worst customer service. DO NOT come here at any cost, disappointment with the customer service I received at Minimaru Chadstone today, April 25, 2025. Our family was interested in purchasing a matcha whisk, especially with a promotional offer of 50% off that was advertised. However, our interaction with one of your staff members was incredibly negative. When we asked for more information about the whisk, instead of being helpful, the employee was rude and dismissive. She showed no interest in explaining the product or assisting us with our query. To our surprise, she actively discouraged us from buying the whisk, stating that we needed to "do our research first." Excuse me? We were in your store, in Australia, looking at a Japanese product on your shelf that explicitly stated to "ask staff for information." It's reasonable for customers to ask for details before making a purchase, and it's the role of the staff to provide that assistance. The fact that there was a 50% off promotion running made her unwillingness to help us even more perplexing and frustrating. It felt as though she actively did not want us to take advantage of the offer. This experience was incredibly off-putting and frankly, insulting. The rude and unhelpful attitude of this staff member has completely turned us off from wanting to shop at Minimaru Chadstone in the future. We came in ready to buy, but were pushed away by exceptionally poor customer service. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the customer service training of their staff.
