I find that there is quite a nice range of foods,freshly baked bread.. I love the "Cheese cake" I could be wrong but I think it's call ed "New york"..The man who run the Bakery, well what a gentleman, the bakery is very child friendly....I have a 18yr old son he has Autism..Phycosis. ..he love's the custard tarts..the lasagna...pies..my son & l use go everywhere together whenhe was about 5yrs old & up until 16yrs....anyway we would go to phills Bakery once a mth go in & order the ladies would always treat my son with the respect we all shold be trrated. .they are just lovely...& the owner he would as well.my son won't go anywhere with me anymore but I still go every now & then it's the only bakery I go to a's I do love the food & my son always has a smile in his face when I get home & say I went to philla bakery son & the ladies said hello & gorge said how are you Salton, & in the bag there would be an extra custard tart for my son....for me if my son likes the food, & the staff & boss can make my son smile with a hello & extra bit of food..well I'll always be loyal to phills...

Read moreI’m a bakery lover and used to work in one. I suspect Phil’s Westgarth could be run more efficiently. As a first time customer, it wasn’t overly clear where to line up to order, with customers scattered everywhere. I asked if they had sausage rolls. There were 3 in the display warmer but not in the section labelled ‘sausage rolls’, so I assumed maybe they were vegan or something else. The staff member said no, those ones need more time to warm up. Not sure why they were warming in the display warmer rather than the oven, but oh well.
