Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Melbourne

Amber alert for the toppings on our pizzas. We did a pickup for dinner, first time having pizza from pizza hut. We were told there was an offer 2 pizzas+ 2 sides for $32.50. We ordered vegan pizzas (Mediterranean and Deluxe), the plain garlic bread and regular chips. We were charged +$7 because the vegan pizzas are more expensive, but we were told that after we placed our order. We requested to exclude onion from both pizzas and 15 minutes after they came and asked us if we were allergic to onion. We said we weren't and they informed us that they accidentally added it and they will make new. We waited a bit more and they brought our order which we took and went home. When we opened the boxes we couldn't believe what we saw. The minimum toppings, we couldn't even identify where the vegan cheese is, only 3 pieces of olives in a large pizza, and completely empty spaces in most of the slices where you could only see the dough and the salsa. We found onion pieces which proves that they didnt make new pizzas, they tried to remove it after it was baked. We weren't satisfied with the taste...The taste of the chips was awful, and they had a smell like they were cooked with nuggets (yikes...we're vegans and we called to make sure). Garlic bread was just a small white baguette not even cooked properly. We baked it in our oven....

I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and 1 Nutella cookie to be delivered = $32.90. (Which includes $6 delivery fee). What was delivered? 2 x Hershey cookies.

I drive to the store, show them how much I paid - and that my order was wrong. They said the order was for 2 Hershey cookies. I then ask how much does 2 Hershey cookies with deliver come to? = $27.90.

So clearly that wasn’t my order, as my order was $32.9.

They asked for my confirmation email. Lo and behold - never got one.

The lady did not want to give in. I was adamant that clearly I was overcharged by $5.

The lady comes back and tells me to take a hersheys cookie and they eventually gave me a pepperoni pizza. I said that wasn’t the cookie I wanted - and the lady just stared at me.

So I didn’t get the order I wanted - and I paid $6 extra, because I picked it up myself.

Won’t be buying...

After 30 minutes waiting, my order didn't show up, so I called them. They said there was a glitch and didn't get my order until 2 minutes prior to my call, so I'd have to wait another 30 minutes for it - no offer of compensation, or a free side or anything.

Then when the driver showed up, he didn't buzz my apartment. No. He called me from the footpath and told me I had to come down and get it myself. I've never had a delivery guy do that before.

So I'm starving and irritated, but at least I've got my food right? Well as it turns out, even for cheap fast food pizza this was pretty bad. The creamy garlic prawn was cheesy, but neither creamy nor garlicky, and the prawn tasted... old. The lava cake was tiny, dry, and had almost no lava in it. But at least the garlic bread was good.
