Proof Pizzeria — Restaurant in Melbourne

Came across this pizzeria tonight and decided to give it a go. Loved it!! The restaurant wasn’t too full, so we didn’t wait long before the pizza came out. And if we had to wait longer, it would have been definitely worth it!! We had Devil’s pizza - beautiful thin base, delicious toppings!!! The service was great too!!

For those who like hot pizza, I’d suggest to eat in or go to a cheap restaurant where you also get 5cm of freshly sliced a week ago toppings. And you wouldn’t have to wait longer than 10 minutes because the bases are pre-made and precooked.

This is a restaurant!! I think people forget that the restaurants aren’t there to serve cheap take-aways. It’s all about experience, people, wake up. Put your phone away, order a glass of wine and enjoy talking to your partner while waiting for your pizza. This restaurant serves Italian pizza and not junk that people who give bad reviews...

Just giving some constructive feedback. Ordered the spaghetti napoli, accompanied with the garlic and herb focaccia. Was pleased that both came to the table at the same time. However, i found the spaghetti to be over cooked and the focaccia a little doughy with a soft crust. Kind of felt like i was eating nann bread. Now, i do understand that sometimes we all have an off night and this isn't an attack on your establishment. In fact, i found that the young girl that looked after us was very pleasant and catered to our needs, considering we didn't have a booking. I also left her a tip. I found the ambience and layout to be soothing. Will i come back a second time?...yes i will. Just cook the spaghetti al dente and it's happy days. Looking forward to dining...

Would give it zero if possible. We ordered through Uber eats. Pizza arrived and was left on the doorstep in the middle of winter with no notification. When we found them they were stone cold. Also uncut. Hopeless and frustrating. Avoid.

Post script Having heated the pizzas in the oven and cut them with my wheel, they were incredible. I normally make my own so have not eaten store bought pizza for years - this was a delicious pizza with a creative and delicious approach to toppings.

Post post script Just found out the restaurant - not the dreaded Uber - delivered the pizza. We even pretipped. Delivery person clearly thought they had the top so why bother ringing the door bell.
