No good photos, because we ate everything too fast…. that should tell you everything. Absolutely worth the drive. The fried rice was amazing, the lemon chicken was golden and crispy, and the beef in black bean sauce was packed with flavour, plus the veggies actually tasted fresh, which never happens. Food came out super fast and piping hot. Highly recommend the Singapore noodles too, they were the standout. The only miss was the steamed dumplings… fine, but nothing special. But everything else? Five stars. Would definitely go back.

Didn't quite enjoy the pan fried chicken and prawn dumplings. It completely hardened in all surface. The dough of dumplings wasn't good enough. Too hardened to chew also. The stuffing normal but a bit of blanded taste. Xiao long Bao taste like factory made quality. Well the price isn't expensive. Hope they can figured out to make a better dough for dumplings and bring in the real Xiao long Bao traditional taste.

Modern, clean, and bright interior. The lady who served us, was very friendly and welcoming. The food was pleasant, though not bursting with flavour ... good, but nothing that stood out too much. Despite the name, it's not just about dumplings. The menu is extensive and covers a wide range of classic Asian dishes. Feels like your reliable neighbourhood local ... comfortable, casual, and dependable.

Second time dining in. First time not great but second time even worse. I try to support local places as I know they can struggle and so many closing recently. Tonight we absolutely got no service unless we initiated it. There were only 2 other groups in the restaurant. It was so bad that we actually ordered a takeaway pizza to collect on our way home as we waited for someone to appear in this shop so we could pay for our entrees and leave. Sad thing was we proffered our feedback but the 2 ladies were adamant that the onus was on us to get their attention if we wanted anything. Not sure why you would dine in when there is no service. The $4 per person corkage is a little steep - especially when you have to ask for a wine glass and there is no ice bucket. They do not sell alcohol. All in all absent service. Don’t bother to dine in - you get better service in your own home. Are you just a takeaway shop...

This place is top notch! We found this place when searching for affordable Chinese food in the area, and it did not disappoint!

We shared the spring rolls and scallion pancakes for appetisers: The spring rolls were beautifully crunchy and the scallion pancakes were flaky (but didn’t crumble) - something I have never seen before. The entrees with rice were plenty of food for one person (and very affordable), and I even had some for takeaway. They have lots of clearly-marked vego options as well which I appreciated (the ma po tofu is great!).

The inside was really clean and modern, and the staff were extremely nice. I definitely will be returning to try some other items (like the dumplings), and I strongly recommend for anyone in the...

As someone who has had his fair share of Melbourne Chinese food, it’s not often that I am blown away by the Chinese food in front of me. In fact, I am one of those people who are always chasing that Chinese-food high when you eat something really special.

I’m sure you can see where this review is going as QQ Dumpling is my new favourite and is what has been missing in my life culinarily speaking.

My husband and I now drove from Prahran to Fairfield to stuff our faces.

Believe it or not I am writing this to you whilst on my way to QQ Dumpling now. I might see...
