Came here today for Red House special lunch deals. We love their roast duck/roast pork/BBQ pork dishes. Value for money (a lot of meat), big portion, very hearty and filling. They do have yum cha menu if you like a variety of food.

For family of 3 total bill $54.40 for all meat dishes. Not too bad. We ordered

  • Dry Noodle with Roast pork and duck
  • Soup Noodle with Roast pork & duck
  • Fried rice with egg with roast duck

We paid with cash to avoid any card surcharges. Do take note they charge $0.50 for takeaway containers so if you thinking of bringing home leftover perhaps bring along your own containers to avoid extra charge.

Recommended to arrive early since they are usually full pack during lunch time (due to special deals). We arrived close to 12pm today the place already half full. Free parking onsite. But limited spaces. Would advise to park near Woolies scoresby if you are arriving during peak time. Just 2 minutes walk to the restaurant.

Standard Chinese restaurant service (quick turn around). We didn't wait long for our food (wait less than 10mins). Staffs are friendly and quick with their response. Atmosphere is slightly noisy so you won't be able to stay there for long to chat. A lot of people buy takeaway. If you have a big group do book ahead.

On special occasion we come here to enjoy their Peking...

It has been quite a while I come to this restaurant. It was when my wife and I took my mother-in-law who had to rely on a wheelchair. The restaurant has easy access via a ramp to the front door.

The ramp needs a new coat of non-slip paint or pebble-mix to ensure the surface is rough and provides some grip for those with walking difficulty.

We have a big crowd for the evening, a mixture of young adults and very old. There are Aussies, as well as Asians.

The best of all the dishes is the prawns. However, it is definitely NOT how Oak Flaked Prawns. The king prawns are large, and the batter is very crispy and fried to golden.

Minced String Beans is my late MIL's favourite dish. It is supposed to complement with pickled olive leaves. I suggest that the restaurant should be a bit more generous with the olive leaves.

Other dishes pass my taste test, except the Roast Duck. The duck has very nice, reddy colour, meaty, but lack flavour. Duck has very different texture than chicken, but the duck seems to take on that of a chicken. I do not like the liquid / juice under the meat. It is not the original juice from the duck, and when the duck skin comes in contact with the liquid, the skin...

Made a booking days ahead of time as we assumed it would get busy, food was great, massive servings and really tasty. The service was probably the worst I’ve received. Consistently coming over asking if we were done even though people were still eating and drink and trying to take food and wine away even though they weren’t done and then having to tell them to leave it as they kept hassling us and we hadn’t even been there for an hour after ordering 5 dishes and a bottle of wine. Eventually they told us they needed the table trying to force us to take our open bottle of wine as an “away bottle” and only then had it struck an hours time since us being there. We did everything right, we booked, we arrived on time and we weren’t there for very long at all and I didn’t even get to let the food settle as they were pushing us out the door. Unfortunate considering the...

Don't be fooled by the exterior of this restaurant. It may not look very exciting from the outside but it is what's inside that counts. Upon arriving, we were very warmly welcomed. We were seated quickly and given some prawn crackers. We quickly ordered a number of our favourite dishes. They didn't take long to come and they were absolutely delicious. Their prices are generally reasonable and the serving portion is generous. As we finished our dinner, we were given some freshly cut oranges and red bean soup as dessert. Throughout the evening, the staff checked on us to make sure everything was in order. It was a good dining experience, great service, delicious Cantonese dishes, all at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
