Roc's Social - M-City — Restaurant in Melbourne

Let me start with a positive, the napkins were actually quite incredible, made of paper but soft like fabric. Also a good selection of beers, such as Kaiju Krush, which is absolutely delicious and was a favourite of the table.

Where it went down hill was in the food department. It was quite simply awful. I don't think anyone finished their meals. The southern fried chicken special spice blend might have had a touch of salt and pepper, but to call it a special blend is completely misleading as it was very bland. Same was true for the sauce, nothing secret or special about it. When it came to the Reuben sandwiches, they were lucky to be the size of a large cookie and clearly were using the very end crusts of the loaves on both serves. These were extremely disappointing and given they were $22 a complete rip off. This is my first negative review of an establishment and it does pain me to do it, but Goggle popped up asking me to review my experience and so I thought I'd better. We had a great friend down from QLD and I was embarrassed that we ate here. I do wish every business success, and Roc's Social is no exception. I hope this feedback is received and some work is done to improve the quality and quantity of food options on this menu, there is definitely potential, but much work must be done...

Score 0 if it allowed me to pick no stars. Won’t be giving my business to this place ever again. Family of 4 order all mains with drinks after long day at work & after school event. Ordered at 7.20, 3 meals come out within about 15 to 20 minutes. 4th meal nowhere to be seen. Another 20 mins nothing - go up to staff and ask where the 4th meal is. They don’t know. Another 20 mins still nothing. Rest of family all finished. Go up to bar again ask for my refund of my meal. Way too late now to eat and rest of my family all finished. Staff tell me I need to wait for manager. Manager asks me what’s wrong I tell him I’m requesting refund for meal that did not come. He asks me what happened…Shouldn’t he be telling me what happened. Isn’t he the manager? Shouldn’t he know what is going on with his staff & his restaurant he is being paid to...

Worse experience me and my kids had... never go there again... specially the service... manager need to train their workers properly... has some manner... stand around talking while people walk to the front door... these girls dont even care to come greeting people nothing... if I get paid to do my job... I make sure I do it right... Food took 40 mins from the time ordered to come out... The food is not as good as price you paid... no taste chicken dry, Lemon Lim Bitter drink taste like syrup water so sweet...I have been many places to eat... I always recommend friends and family... this place... No Thanks... never seen anything like this... I walk pass today.. place empty... people notice how bad this place now... hope...
