I spent a harrowing $32.5 on a spicy beef pho, a "Vietnamese Baguette" and two of their $2 iced teas that they have on promo at the moment. I arrived at my home and was extremely excited to dig into my meal as my usual Vietnamese spot Pho a Chau is closed on Sundays hence why I had stooped down to this franchised mess. I took my first bite of the Vietnamese baguette and although the baguette itself was delightful, the pork was extremely rubbery as though it had been sitting in the fridge overnight and they had reheated it in the morning, and the pork crackling was absolutely appalling, I have no idea how they made that crackle but it definitely wasn't cooked with the rubber pork I was chewing. I then sat down to eat my pho as I didn't finish the baguette, I opened the lid and was met with a foul smelling oder from the beef slices that I was so eager to eat. I took one bite and my suspicion was correct, it was not right to be eating. the only good thing about the pho was the broth which I hadn't poured into the pho yet as I was discouraged when I was treated with the foul smelling aroma of beef slices, pickled cabbage, bean shoots and noodles. usually a treat I rather enjoy. I usually don't write reviews but I can't let anyone disrespect themselves by trying to enjoy a meal from here. the rice paper rolls are brilliant but that's all I will be getting from here if I am ever to return. I spent the last of my spare cash on this as I thought I deserved a treat after an exhausting week and was only met with...
Read moreI love Rolld but the service at the Frankston store is awful. They always run out of rice paper rolls especially Tofu and they wont make any for you even after as early as 1.30pm in the afternoon. They are the only Rolld store that does that, all the others will make fresh ones up until they close pretty much. I've been on a busy Saturday and told them it was my birthday (in lockdown I came out just for that) and they still wouldnt make any at 2pm. The staff are often cold and they have messed up the order multiple times putting the low carb tofu rolls in despite me repeating which ones I wanted. When I have ordered hot food the food was good but took a while and since Karingal has opened it's very easy to see how poor the service is in Bayside in comparison so I will always try and go to Karingal...
Read moreI just purchased a Bank Mi (pork roll) take-away. Ordering was very quick, however I had to wait 10-15 minutes for my order to be made. Quite disappointing really. Certainly not value for money ($8.50) for what you get. I agree with another reviewer, the pork rolls at the Vietnamese Bakery opposite the Frankston station are much better (bigger) and cheaper (only $4), and freshly made (they make them in front of you and it takes about 60 seconds). I will not be going back to Rolld Frankston. If the manager reads this review, you should consider selling the numerous rolls in the display shelf, rather than enticing people in and then making them wait while the rolls are...
