We recently dined at Ginseng Chinese in Frankston, and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome that set the tone for the evening. The friendly staff immediately offered us fresh prawn crackers and took our drink orders, ensuring we felt right at home.

The service throughout the meal was exceptional, with our waiter being both friendly and attentive, catering to our every need. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail, as after every course, we were provided with a fresh, new hot plate, which added an extra touch of care to the dining experience. The cleanliness of the table and the overall ambiance also contributed to a very pleasant atmosphere.

As for the food, it was nothing short of delicious. We started with the san choy bao, which was packed with fresh, vibrant flavors. The dim sims were equally impressive—steamed to perfection. The Peking duck pancakes were a highlight, with tender duck wrapped in soft pancakes, paired with just the right amount of hoisin sauce.

We also enjoyed the Mongolian beef, lemon chicken, and fried rice—all of which were freshly prepared and full of flavor. Each dish was well-presented and cooked to perfection, showcasing the high quality and freshness of the ingredients.

I have had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant many times over the last 10 years and I must say, every time it has been an incredible experience from start to finish. The roast duck is absolutely succulent and delicious, it melts in your mouth. The wasabi prawns have been perfectly cooked every time, offering an amazing balance of spice and sweetness. The fried wontons are crispy on the outside and always leave me craving more. The stuffed mushrooms are another highlight, bursting with flavor.

For the main course, the Mongolian lamb was nothing short of amazing—sizzling tender and juicy!! I could go on...I have never had a bad dish they are always beautifully prepared, and the flavors are spot on.

We had the most wonderful dining experience at Ginseng after coming in on a whim after finding it through Entertainment Book. Don't let the basic decor fool you, we had such a great experience - all the wait staff were warm and lovely, especially the sweet girl who served us - a very family friendly feel and really made our night. Haven't seen customer service like this in a very long time. We had our 2 year old with us, and they were so kind and respectful to him, and he loved the extra serve of prawn crackers and even more the bag of prawn crackers he got to take home. Lots of lovely touches on the dishes and at the end of the meal, a warm hot towel and peppermint. The food was delicious and well presented - we had the fried wontons (yum), lemon chicken, bbq pork with tofu, mushrooms and veg, and char kuey teow... overall a wonderful experience .Thank you Entertainment Book...we will definitely be back when we are next in Frankston :) Highly...
