We had the absolute BEST experience at Rosa Mexicano! Our group of 22 (yes, 22!) came in together for a special celebration, and from start to finish it was nothing short of incredible. Organising such a big booking can sometimes be stressful, but the staff here made it completely seamless. They were so welcoming, accommodating, and organised – every single detail was looked after with care.
The atmosphere was buzzing – vibrant, colourful, and full of life. It immediately set the tone for a joyful evening. Our table was beautifully arranged, and despite the large number of us, the service was smooth, friendly, and efficient. No one was ever left waiting, drinks kept flowing, and every dish arrived hot, fresh, and perfectly timed.
Now let’s talk about the food – WOW. From the first bite we were in heaven. The guacamole was fresh and zesty, the tacos bursting with flavour, and the quesadillas were rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. Every plate looked like a piece of art, and tasted even better. The portions were generous and packed with authentic Mexican taste. Every single person in our group raved about their meal, which is no small feat with such a big crowd!
The cocktails were another highlight – colourful, fun, and expertly made. The margaritas deserve their own round of applause – fresh, tangy, and oh-so-smooth. Definitely the best we’ve had in a long time.
The staff went above and beyond to make the night feel special. They were friendly, warm, and genuinely seemed to enjoy having us there. It wasn’t just service – it felt like hospitality straight from the heart.
Overall, our night at Rosa Mexicano was happy, happy, joy, joy – exactly what dining out should be. Everyone left smiling, full, and already talking about when we can come back. If you’re looking for delicious food, a lively atmosphere, and staff who really care about making your night memorable, this is THE place.

Read moreA relative small Mexican restaurant on Clarendon St with a pretty extensive menu ranging from snacks, tacos, burritos, burgers, paella and fajitas. Had the following dishes:
Chipotle chicken wings, served with corn and mango salsa; slightly tangy and savory with a braised meat texture Chorizo and smoked chicken croquettes; smoky and savory with a little spice, crunchy exterior; tasty with some chipotle sauce and Mexican shredded cheese Chimichanga; deep fried burrito filled with a lot of tender chicken and cheese, topped with creamy chipotle aioli. Tortilla had more texture and flavour after being fried and was surprisingly not greasy. The side of zesty pico de gallo added some acidity to balance the heavy flavours Paella; rice was moist and not too soft, tangy and tomatoey with vibrant flavours from the diced vegetables. Chicken was more lean compared to the chicken in the chimichanga, prawns were fresh but the mussels were a bit fishy Fish taco; batter was thin and crunchy with a decent amount of fish, very creamy and savory with the garlic and chipotle aioli as well as a hint of sweetness from the corn Original taco; had the pulled beef, pulled pork, chicken and chili con carne, all were delicious; soft and tender meats packed with flavour from all the different sauces as well as the juicy and refreshing pico de gallo. Quite messy to eat but worth getting messy
Overall a very tasty meal, not the cheapest but portion sizes were quite big. There was a miscommunication as the food came out all at once and wait time was quite long; suspect the kitchen was understaffed. However staffs were friendly and didn't rush us when it was past closing time which was great. Highlight was the tacos and...
Read moreIt's difficult to find places that do Mexican food well, without it being cliche. I was so impressed by the menu and vibe at Rosa Mexicano as it was a little more classy than other Mexican restaurants that I have been to. Not a sombrero in sight!! What they did have however, was an outstanding spicy margarita, with a fabulous dash of jalapeno to give it a real kick. I certainly indulged in a few of these as they were amongst the best I've had.
The atmosphere is cool with chic artwork on the back wall, mosaic tiled tables and fantastic lighting. The staff were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu.
We tried a delicious range of dishes, including smoky croquettes, a gorgeous paella, spicy chicken fajitas and fried burrito. The croquettes were so crispy with a soft, oozy centre; and the seasoning was on point. The paella had spicy rice with plenty of protein and veggies, with the chorizo really knocking it out of the park.
The chicken fajitas came on a steaming iron dish, with a side plate stacked with tortillas, salsas and accompaniments. The sauce was so flavoursome, and the chicken and capsicums were so tender. The fried burrito was crunchy with an amazing filling; and I really feel that their handmade fresh tortillas really made the difference.
