Update:
I went to the store this afternoon to return a package of sausage that my husband purchased.
We also noticed there was no expiry date or best before date on the packaging. When I raised the issue with your staff, I was shocked by their response. They claimed the supplier was responsible and suggested it wasn’t their fault. This is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of accountability on your part as a retailer.
As a seller, you have been in the market for years, and you should know it is illegal to sell food products without proper date marking. Blaming the supplier is not an excuse. It is your responsibility to ensure that the products you sell comply with Australia’s food safety laws, including the requirement for expiry or best before dates. The fact that your store is selling improperly labelled products raises serious concerns about your commitment to consumer safety.

Today my husband bought this product and when we opened the packaging, we found that the sausage was completely covered in mould. It was obvious that the vacuum seal had been compromised, something that should have been noticed by the store staff before putting the product on the shelf.
We tried to find the expiry date on the packaging but couldn’t. There are some numbers on the label, but they’re unclear and don’t provide any real information about the product’s freshness.
What makes this even more frustrating is that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. A few years ago, my husband was sold an expired product at the same store. After that incident, we decided not to shop there anymore, but after some time, we thought we’d give your store another chance. Unfortunately, the result was the same.
Just recently, I bought the exact same sausage as a gift, and at that time, the staff assured me it was fresh. It feels like if a customer mentions they’re buying something as a gift, they receive a quality product, but for regular purchases, staff don’t pay enough attention to the condition of the items.
It also seems that male customers, perhaps assumed to be less attentive, are given products of questionable quality.
We’re incredibly disappointed.
Read moreWhat do you know about cravings? What do you know about them being satisfied? This shop has it all and way beyond! I love their food, choice, service and the feeling that i can get my childhood flashes in one go :) thank you, guys
After reading bad reviews, I'm editing my comment to put more details on service I receive EVERY time I'm there from everyone, especially from Maksim and Dima. If I have bags too full - they will even offer to carry them to my car. Very patient and helpful, really taking their time to give details on products. Especially because of their customer service , i chose them over and over again. Few bad reviews stated about being told off for recording inside the store: its their shop, their rules, their culture, their baby. A simple "is that ok if i take few photos/vids?", would definitely make huge difference. If you are respectful to people, people are respectful to you. If you come to someone's business with attitude- don't expect to...
Read moreDidn’t have enough time to look around the store as one of the store workers proceeded to grumble at me for filming in the store (for one of my home vlogs) and basically kicking us out. In quote he said “You are coming into my home and filming my property.” Now this isn’t your home. This is your business where you should be conducting trade in a respectful way and not shooing away customers which would have brought profit to you. Just a note for the future guys, if I wasn’t allowed to film you could have easily said “Please could you not film in this store. Thank you.” and not...
