Today I ordered the Mex Beef burrito. I specifically said to NOT add avocado and I also said that I was severely allergic to it. The guy serving said “okay no avocado” and all was well and I paid. (There was only 2 workers there and there was only 2 customers including myself.)
I was appalled to find that there was indeed a huge chunk avocado in my burrito and I ended up having a severe allergic reaction to it. Luckily I had my medication with me at the time as I took it straight away.
About 5-10 minutes later after my allergies went down, my partner and I went back to the shop to ask why there was avocado in my burrito. My partner was furious as he heard me say in a clear voice whilst ordering my burrito, that I was severely allergic to avocado and to not put any in it.
The guy that served me was actually in the back LAUGHING probably thinking it was the most funniest thing in the world, whilst the other worker had to appease both me and my partner as we were both angry and upset that simple instructions were not followed.
The second worker was very apologetic and told me he was unaware of my allergies. He gave me a refund. The first worker on the other hand, the one that served me, you should be ashamed of yourself. Not only did you lack to communicate to the second worker about my allergies, staying at the back and not confronting us nor apologising to us about YOUR mistake and blatantly laughing about the whole situation, is absolutely appalling. I don’t think you realise the severeness of the situation nor do you seem to understand the possible consequences that might have resulted from your actions.
So moral of the story, the people salsas employ are questionable and I’m never eating here...

The cashier kept making mistakes, which I don't blame her and do understand because she seemed new to the job; it does annoyed me that she wasn't given much assistance and pretty much had to wait till one of the senior stuff members came to her aid. I mean it would've been better if someone was simply shadowing her to make sure she wasn't making any errors, just until she got the hang of the whole thing instead of just throwing her head-first and hoping for the best.
Another thing that just bugged me alot was the fact that there was an employee who just continuously shouting, making annoying noises. All the customers just felt uncomfortable, some even left altogether because of him.
Its a shame because this restaurant does have potential to reach highs beyond itself but without some proper discipline, team work and organization skills, I don't see much of a...

But the main concern is my burrito which was chicken tasted like fish and I am highly allergic. I emailed the company to address the matter. Their reply was they did checks and the fish is cooked in a different grill to every thing else. I call bullshit. They said the fish burrito must have just made the others smell like fish in transport. It tasted like fish not smelt like fish.
We will see if the health department find their standards and cooking practices up to standard and that they are not cross contaminating food.
