This little gem could be a perfect haven for those needing time out from their studies where they can open their laptop, grab a coffee and a great feed and feel welcome and accepted and part of a community. Unfortunately, it is a little sterile and just a come and go place where you grab a feed and go again. In most of my reviews I evaluate the performance of staff, not only food and beverage. Welcoming staff and creating a positive customer experience is paramount. Yes, I know the staff are only there because they are getting paid and it is not necessarily their own business. But, having a high work ethic and living ones values makes a big difference in making their day interesting as well as the customer. it is only little things that need to be amended (like having some nice music in the background as well as an improvement in staff relations) and this place would be a little gem in the middle of a busy area. I had the pastrami and kimchi sandwich toast as recommended by some of the reviewers. For $16, the portion of pastrami is huge. The pastrami tastes a bit like bacon. If you are feeling skinny, it's good. I could hardly see the kimchi. The bits and pieces of kimchi are like the ground version. Perhaps the Cafe should use more traditional kimchi with big leaves.
