The «Hole-in-the-wall Cafe» format is a very common format in Australia. Capulus & Co is a fabulous example here in Melbourne. They serve tasty coffee, hot chocolate, tea, freshly squeezed orange juice, as well as cookies, pastries, and croissants through a tiny window of a residential house along Sydney Road. There are a handful of tables with chairs on the pavement as well as a little wooden island in the grass surrounded by benches in a u-shape.
I was surprised how tiny the space is ā literally just a window in front of a tiny kitchen with a coffee machine and a grinder on a bench. There are so many places around this area to choose from which are more in line with the average of $6 for...

We spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out if this shop front is part of a house, with people potentially sitting on the front verandah of the house. We were very intrigued.
The coffee was really tasty, and Pippa said the orange juice was INCREDIBLE. Thereās a small collection of sandwiches and pastries to choose from and a handful of seats (but not tooo many).
It was a bit spenny, especially with the weekend 10% surcharge.
Overall 3.1...
