The «Hole-in-the-wall Cafe» format is a very common format in Australia. Capulus & Co is a fabulous example here in Melbourne. They serve tasty coffee, hot chocolate, tea, freshly squeezed orange juice, as well as cookies, pastries, and croissants through a tiny window of a residential house along Sydney Road. There are a handful of tables with chairs on the pavement as well as a little wooden island in the grass surrounded by benches in a u-shape.

I was surprised how tiny the space is – literally just a window in front of a tiny kitchen with a coffee machine and a grinder on a bench. Yet, the size has no impact on the quality of the products nor on the service: I enjoyed my «pain au chocolat» with my tasty long black sitting in the sun and enjoying the cold Melbournian summer.
