Worst fish and chips I had in my life. The fish was undercooked and the batter was soggy. The fish was full of salt and wasn’t spread evenly onto the chips, so the chips were flavourless and the fish was too salty. It was really greasy and there was oil on the bottom. I never give this low of a rating but this was an exception.

I did feel a little unwell after since there was so much oil in the food.

The service was okay, nothing wrong except the staff wasn’t aware of the prices. There wasn’t any emotions so it didn’t feel like I belonged here or the staff were friendly.

The store was clean though, couldn’t spot anything dirty around. However, the tables outside were dirty and had leftovers of the previous customer’s meal.

I also thought it was odd that they charge 50c for a packet of tomato sauce.

We had a terrible experience here yesterday. The service was very poor and the staff member unhelpful. We bought a standard fish and chips and when the food arrived i asked for some tomato or tartar sauce, not an unusual request. I was told I can only buy sauce by the bottle! I pointed to a large bottle of tomato sauce behind the counter only to be told 'that bottle is only for burgers'. What is that all about??? So i had to buy a full bottle of Heinz tomato sauce to go with my order! And they even charged me a surcharge for using my card for the sauce order because it was under $10. Surely sauce with a Fish and Chips isn't an extra? The only good thing was the portions were a decent size but having said that the place isn't cheap either. Will definitely not...

This operation they claim to be a Fish and Shop should be shut down. I went there with my family on 01/01/22 (order no. 100). Ordered 3 x grilled Blue Grenadier (no salt) and 1 x medium chips (no salt). Everything was laced in salt, strange thick batter around the fish for grilled, and the chips – SAY no more. One of the worst chips I have every experienced in my life. It is clear that the oil has not been replaced in many weeks, and it is of the cheapest / lowest grade standard. This operation is a total disgrace to serve up this standard, and the level of health damage this would have done if we ate them all would be severe.
