Shisha Basha — Restaurant in Melbourne

Good food but the service is terrible. We had waited over 50 minutes for our food because they were prioritising Menulog/Ubereats orders in a near empty restaurant and when I finally got my food, the waiter had told us to smile when he knew how long we waited. After explaining to him that the food had taken too long, he began to patronise me further by stating that "they're understaffed because so many people took Christmas holidays, there were only two chefs and the demands are high" instead of taking in feedback when you can see the boss sitting down and having shisha while the waiter is skipping around (literally). In addition to this, they skipped Mariah Carey's "all I want for Christmas" song and played one about baby jesus like ???? That's one way to ruin good food. My partner had recommended this place to me until I got nicotine poisoning from here last time. I go there many times usually but this time I was extremely disappointed. The waitresses are all extremely nice. The food is great and shisha is decent. My issue is with the bosses who don’t know basic principle of customer service. I have worked in customer service and I understand sometimes you need to tell customers things that might be upsetting. Yes my friend and I were laughing loud but instead of respectfully coming up to us to say “hey guys please keep your voices down for the respect of other customers” as a boss of a store should, instead he told us to “behave” ourselves like we’re animal. The worst place I have ever been too. This isn’t my first time visiting but this will be my last time. 1 the owners are so up them self they don’t even know what customer service is. 2 they wouldn’t even let us play Cards the worker didn’t have a reason just said it was the house rules. Which is pretty dumb. The only good works are the waiters and the coal guy. They made this table move three time while we were sitting their.
