terrible owner and food
We are the regulars of this restaurant but we will never go back again!
We went there for lunch. As it was sunny outside and we asked if they could pulled down the blinds. The waitress pulled down a little bit of the blinds but it was still too bright. We asked if she could pull down more but she was reluctant and we didn't want to push her. Instead we asked if we could swap to another table so my colleague and I could face inside the restaurant not outside. The waitree was ok with it.
As we were moving to the other table, the owner of the restaurant stormed through the restaurant to the windows and started shouting and yelling, and said, 'We are very busy, you are lucky to find a table in Australia'. The restaurant was only 1/3 full at the time. She gave me this evil look the whole time. My colleague's meal was disgusting, the beef in the Pad See Ewe was inedible. We got a beef take away too and there was this aweful smell from the beef too and we had to throw it away! Before we left and I spoke to the waitress: "it's very sad because we are the regulars." She apologised but there is nothing she could do. I feel hurt being mistreated on top of losing someone dear last week. I was shocked and did not know how to response at that time. But this is not ok!
I am sharing it because mistreatment is not ok!
We rang the restaurant afterwards, unfortunately we had to speak to 3 different people and the owner was not nice and the chef was feeling offended because we threw away his food. The owner kept saying we wanted a table of 4 and they are busy but this is not true! They remember us being the regulars and always order the same thing. Unforunately the beef from yesterday were all inedible in both our dine-in and take away dishes. I think they should check on their beef instead of the blaming. The flavours was ok it's the beef yesterday that was awful. There was this nice gentleman speaks better English and tried to explain the owner is not very fluent in English and apologized. He asked what do we want to do with this.
Unfortunately none of us want to go back to the restaurant. Treating your customers like this is not ok and we are even the regulars. That just show how much they don't care about their customers which is very sad. I used to work in hospitality industry and it is vital to the business! Daylight robbery! A group of seven of us went there for lunch and ordered the banquet at $28pp. One of our group ordered a vegetarian version. The vegetarian got his own red chicken curry and pad Thai. The other six of us had to share ONE red curry and ONE pad Thai!!! They brought out three serves of the beef and vegetables dish for 6 of use to share, but four of us waited for two more serves of pad Thai and red curry which didn't come! Luckily the two guys who had the pad Thai and red curry put in front of them didn't eat it all, otherwise four of us would have missed out altogether!
This is a deliberate rip off. Don't judge the banquet by the online flier; it's misleading and false advertising. When we were leaving and I began questioning the older woman who appeared to be the boss, she knew exactly what I was about to say and tried cutting me off. I didn't let this happen and the rest of the patrons started listening in. As I opened the door to walk out, she started waving her arms and yelling at me; the whole restaurant had lunch and a show. I couldn't help but to turn around and yell back "It is robbery!"
I only returned from this debacle of a lunch 30 minutes ago and the MSG headache has well and truly kicked in.
