Silvio's Pizza House — Restaurant in Melbourne

December 2020 I got 2 take away pizzas from Silvios. The supreme pizza was absolutely packed with ingredients and really tasty.

The second pizza was vegetarian and equally as good. Both pizzas were smashed which is a good indication lol.

The pizza was easy to order over the phone, the service was friendly, and the pizzas overall were great value.

This is a great place.

I got a couple of take away pizzas tonight. And they were really really good! I’ve never had a pizza with so many ingredients on one pizza.

I got a bbq chicken pizza which was delicious, and a supreme pizza full of prawns and other ingredients. Both pizzas were excellent. Almost perfect.

The ingredients were very tasty, and this is definitely one place you have to visit. I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to try this place myself lol.

Food - no better or worse than expected

Ambiance - We ate al fresco - so I can't comment on the decor

Service. ALL wrong: Didn't come to us quickly - even though they had almost no customers. Didn't bring us water when the waitress came out to greet us. Only brought us one menu. Had to be asked to bring us water and wine glasses. Did not come out to ask if we needed anything. First pizza came out quickly, second meal was 10 minutes later - with no explanation or apology.

I've been going to Silvios for 45 years and the latest owners are just not getting it.

Summary: Prices OK. Food OK. Waitress made us feel about as special as two...

Pizza place with history, credibility and tradition....I really like these qualities. No nonsense good quality food, freshly prepared and tastes great. As I said traditional, setting which suits me just fine. Much better than overhyped and overpriced pizza from another joint I reviewed....thank God! Great servings, awesome value and they respect their customers...unlike the other joint, pizza bar. Well done Silvios a true Italian legend in Richmond not a fake pizza bar that I visited and I'm still shaking my head in...
