Stunning place, you can’t help but want to look around before enjoying the excellent customer service and tasty menu. So, let’s break it down…
Atmosphere: * Stunning! Some real care and thought went into the design and renovations of this place. Inside is historically stunning while the outdoor area, both uncovered and covered, is extremely casual bar-like décor. Great for group catch ups and a chill afternoon of pub grub and a few drinks, plus the tunes are a good selection and not too high to drown out your conversations. Extremely Well Done!
Customer Service: * Sitting in the undercover section outside, the customer service staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Ordering was through a QR Code service and drinks (while they could be ordered at the bar) can be ordered through the QR system as well. Once ordered, we were greeted very well and provided our entrée within 10 minutes and the mains followed about 12 minutes after, exceptional. Once finished the plates were bussed within about 5 minutes of finishing and were allowed to continue our conversation until ready to leave. Excellent Service.
Food (why we are here): * Order : Cheesy Garlic Bread and 2 Chicken Parma's Cheesy Garlic Bread - Delicious, (accidentally took a bite before remembering to take a photo...oops) The Bread was nicely toasted on the outside & soft and warm on the inside. The cheese wasn’t over the top and the garlic matched perfectly. Chicken Parma with chips & salad – Great chicken size, not overly crumbed & the cheese, ham and Napoli sauce blended superbly. Chips were excellently crisp and hot with a nice salad to freshen up the savory dish. Well Done!
Overall: * It’s a rare treat to walk into a restaurant that is so well presented that you just want to walk around and admire the venue. The Amazing Grace certainly delivers a dazzling contrast of excellent décor ideas and then follows it up with excellent customer service and a variety of menu options to tempt you. If the Chicken Parma was anything to go by I’m assured that the rest of the menu is absolutely first rate. Highly recommend for everyone. Well Done, The...
Read moreDecided to go to amazing grace as it looks like such a beautiful venue. Thought for convenience we would make a booking for 2. We arrived and waited at the door for about 5 minutes waiting to be greeted and shown to our table but sadly nobody came so we went to the bar and asked where our table was. The stingray Draught was nice but sadly the food was a massive let down. The waitress brought a bottle of water to the table but forgot to bring glasses, wasnt a big deal we went up and grabbed glasses only to sit down and realise one of them had a cockroach in them. I let the bar staff know that it should probably be recleaned and they didnt really bat an eyelid which made me wonder if its a regular occurrence. We got the pork belly entree which was somehow dry, hard and over cooked flesh but a soft and soggy skin which i thought was almost talented..... or perhaps microwave? $80 for a seafood platter that seemed to consist mostly of what we would expect to find in the aldi frozen food section, Chips were actually the nicest part. The salad had a few very slimey parts in it like what you would see in the bottom of a bag salad that's been sitting in the fridge for a few days. Would like to point out the venue itself was beautiful and the amazing grace has SO much potential but the customer service and food was beyond disappointing, we actually considered walking next door to kfc for a better feed. Overall we definitely wont be returning which is such a shame as it does look like a...
Read moreWhat a disappointment this place is. The venue is stunning, but that's about it. Staff look like they didn't want to be there, but the worst part was the food. We ordered corn ribs, babaganoush and olive dip platter, Parma, fried dumplings, pizza and some chicken ribs. The corn tasted like it had sat in its own water for about 2 days, and then had some paprika and salt sprinkled on top. It was soft and soggy and disgusting. The dip plate arrived without olives, and when we told the server, she asked me to show her on the menu where it shows the olives. After seeing what I was telling her, she walked away and came back with a small portion of olives. In the meantime, tasting the dip which was meant to be babaganoush, it was actually hummus. She didn't believe it, but took the plate away to the kitchen, and came back to confirm that it was in fact hummus, and they'll get me the correct meal. She came back 10 min later, with a plate of oily, runny dip, which looked and tasted like hummus with added olive oil and so much salt. It was inedible. This was not the eggplant dip which was on the menu. The fries which arrived, and cost $10, were the smallest serving of any fries I've ever seen in a restaurant. However, they were the only thing which tasted decent. The drinks were so watered down, everything tasted like mineral water. The cost is very high, for very low standard of food. If I could give them...
