Stocked Food Store — Restaurant in Melbourne

Expensive food which is not fresh most of the time. Food that requires refrigeration left on the counter.

High staff turnover, staff are clearly unhappy and overworked by management.

Rude owner Tess, purchased an expensive food item and it was left from my bag. When I called about it she accused me of eating it already and forgetting.

Clearly only white people, usually young girls, working the front of house, a clear divide between them and the kitchen staff (most of whom are of colour).

Unhygienic store, heard from old employee that fridges and spaces are not adequately cleaned per regulations and mould in food storage spaces.

Our favorite store in Australia. Amazing variety, terrific customer service. You get what you pay for and feel like you’re in a world of choice. They set an extremely high standard, a food lovers wonderland. We get our ginger bread houses here each year as special gifts, and they sent two staff members to deliver them to our car this year. Honestly, I can’t fault the place, the quality is exceptional on every level. I was standing in the store for about 5 minutes before the owner came out and gave me fantastic service and apologised for the wait. Beautiful food and great service from the owner. Very disappointed in the service from other staff members who served others who entered the store after me before me when I was clearly waiting.
