I'm a fan! Caught up with a mate on a Friday night and it was pretty busy, but did snaffle a table near the bar (prime realestate that!) My first interaction with the barman was a little dull but from then on the other staff were great! Engaging and curious to know how we were enjoying the night etc. (love when the staff care!) I will apologise for the bad photo's as I took them after I had a few - but I was enjoying my mates company and the night! As we were gas bagging - we almost missed ordering food (actually, the kitchen had just closed but they'd do a pizza for us- how lovely is that) and we went the Salsiccia Pizza - and it was bloody nice! I only went 4* for the atmosphere - as it looks a bit sterile - but if you have good food and service I think that should always be the priority! A rather good night all up! And what's a review without a Zippy Spam photo too 😁

Took advantage of the $20 Parma and it tasted good and if a decent size too. But, the accompanying salad was so bland, which simply was a green salad. No tomatoes, no onion and the very minimal of a dressing. No salt on the the chips either. My beer was a Balter XPA (great citrus after taste) schooner which was expensive at $13. Should have chosen with a lemon ,lime and bitters. The service was friendly, fast and efficient and our five meals came within minutes of each other. Could hardly hear the music if there was any. Toilets, although clean and neat and caters well for the males. The female toilets only had one cubicle I was told by my daughters. Weird. Not likely to return any time soon.

Wednesday is $30 steak night. I was impressed with the interior of the restaurant which was fancier than I expected for a pub. The service however was pretty atrocious; staff were walking around aimlessly yet no one came to take our order, no one ever offered us water for the glasses that were on the table and we were ignored by several staff members who stared at us blankly upon arrival without asking if we wanted a table or had a reservation. Food wise the steak was very average and definitely not medium rare as requested. The chips were nicely seasoned and the mac and cheese croquette entree was pleasant enough but definitely not somewhere I will return in a hurry

Response to owner's response - You are continuing to give false information. One of your entrances has 2 steps and the other on the side has 1 large step and neither are accessible by wheelchair. Your response indicates that you have no idea about wheelchair accessibility. It is not 'easy' to lift a person in a wheelchair over a step that size and even if it is possible (which it wasn't), it is actually a very serious safety hazard to do so. If you are serious about having an entrance with wheelchair access, please engage with an OT or consultant that can advise you on what is required. A ramp without the knowledge of what the safe incline needs to be is still a safety hazard so please if you are serious about getting a ramp, get the right advice first.

In the meantime please stop providing false information and wasting people's time as mine and my family's was last night. Your premises are not wheelchair accessible. People in wheelchairs have enough challenges to deal with without having to deal with businesses not being honest.

Made a booking and we specifically asked if the restaurant was wheelchair accessible. Was given an enthusiastic ‘yes’ so made the reservation. Turned up to the restaurant to find no wheelchair accessible entrance so couldn’t even enter the premises. My partner went in and asked staff about a way in but was told there isn’t one Not even an apology, just an excuse that perhaps the person who took the booking didn’t know any better. Absolutely disgraceful on the part of restaurant management and a waste of my and my family’s’ time. This place gets a big...

We were there for dinner with a couple of friends on Friday night.

The staff behind the bar were helpful despite short of staff they did their best for their customer. Well done!

I had the chilli seafood linguine. Disappointingly, it was a small-portioned main (compared to what I normally get in other restaurants for the similar price point).

The linguine was bland and a bit overcooked. The menu stated that it contains prawns, clamps, mussels and scallops. However, no prawns and scallops were sighted. I have pointed it out to the waiting staff and without feeling apologetic, the reply was 'I will inform the kitchen'. We didn't have desserts (although they sound delicious) for the obvious reason.

We left the restaurant, still feeling hungry. So the four of us drove to a nearby pub, had more food and desserts.

I would not recommend this place nor will I return. I am happy to chat with the owner, if they like (pls provide contact details)....but our dining experience was ruined by the over-priced food with under-delivered quality. It's ashamed as it used to be good, especially their chicken parma during the...

We decided to try The Toorak Hotel after its reopening. I ordered the mushroom risotto which came to the table barely warm & it would appear it was sitting under warming lights for a considerable amount of time. There wasn't any fluid left & whatever there had been was dried up as you could see the original line above the edge of the risotto. It looked very unappealing having flattened to the bottom of the bowl to a depth of an inch at best & to top it off, it didn't have a lot of flavour. I couldn't identify what was on top as it had dried out completely. My meal & another came out, then the other two meals came out about 5 minutes later. By this stage my risotto had softened & was no longer Al dente, just soggy. The other meals looked okay, service was friendly & atmosphere was nice. I assume this was just teething problems with the reopening but I did expect a little more from this group. I'm not sure why they asked on booking if we were celebrating, as it was my friends birthday & it wasn't acknowledged. For vegetarians there was...
