If it wasn't for the exceptional service from the nice lady at the front, I would have given this a rating of 4. However, the service, along with her explanations and recommendations, was top-notch. On my first visit, I ordered the Leroy but plan to come back to try the empanadas and the traditional Colombian Paco hot dog.
The hot dog itself was quite tasty, loaded with various sauces, including cheese and barbecue. It also had a generous amount of bacon, which I appreciated, as some places skimp on it. However, the sausage was a bit cold, and the thickness was smaller compared to the bun, but overall it was acceptable. The bun was very soft, similar to a brioche bun but shaped like a hot dog roll.
The chips were a big hit for meāI enjoyed every bite. The gravy or cheese had a slight sweetness to it, yet it was still enjoyable. The chips were cooked amazingly well and are definitely my favorite part of the meal. They did mention they were a bit understaffed and said next month stuff like the empanadas were going to...

I wrestled with this rating as the service was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful, restaurant was nicely decked out and most of all, the food was tasty. However, I did feel thirsty after and into the night, signaling high salt content.
Ordered the Champ hot dog and the chorizo was a little spicy but oh so tasty. With the feta cheese toppings, chimichurri and aioli, itās probably the best hot dog Iāve had in Melbourne thus far.
Ordered the onion rings with maple bacon and itās as sinful as it sounds. Though wouldāve preferred more crispy bacon than just grilled but all good. The onion rings were humongous, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
However, I did feel very thirsty after and hours later which usually means Iāve had something with lots high amounts of salt. Canāt pinpoint where this came from but Iāll be willing to try them again.
Great stuff,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was absolutely amazing, the servings and sizes of the hotdogs was massive. It's so hard to find a good weiner in Melbourne especially after the closure of Massive Weiners in Prahran.
Ordered the Reuben Hotdog, a take on the Classic Pastrami sandwhich in hotdog form and boy did it deliver. I'm always conscious of images on menus exaggerating the size and presentation of the food, but Street Dogz delivered in both categories. Taste was amazing, love a good pickle and sauerkraut.
Also got the Crazy Fries or their Variation of "Salchipapa", which is essentially loaded fries topped with roast chicken, beef brisket, bacon, cheese, two types of sauces and most uniquely a few quail eggs.
I absolutely loved this place, the lady serving was the nicest and I can't wait to go back again. Although, next time might not order...
