Following a recent visit to Russia that included a sensational session in the traditional local steam âBanyaâ in one of the villages, we started researching the option of installing a sauna at our home. In my research I discovered the alternative popular option and advantages of the Far Infrared Saunas. However, shopping for one proved to be very confusing since prices varied significantly! I found that Sunlighten in Melbourne was the only place where we could actually inspect and experience the benefits of a Far Infrared Sauna. We booked a session online in an mPulse Conquer full spectrum, 3 person sauna just to gage the experience of an infrared sauna. The sauna looked stunning; it was heated-up and ready for us in a private enclosure upon arrival. I was amazed at the comfortable dry and pleasant heat but had my doubt that it was sufficient enough to induce a sweat; it didnât last long before sweat started pouring. Leanne stepped outside for a drink a couple of times but I wasnât going to leave this comfortable cocoon! I actually felt the gradual relieve of pain in my lingering golf-elbow. The post-session feeling was amazing, my body felt warm and I spent the next 2 hours walking the street in my t-shirt at 12 deg.C. We decided there and then that this is what we want to install at home; we asked for a quote. I was surprised when the quote came at 10-fold higher than the cheap âsingle Spectrumâ saunas that were available from the on-line only outfits. Further research convinced us of the benefit of the full-spectrum (far, mid and near) infrared; this unique technology coupled with the track record and comfort of dealing with an established local business makes it a clear winner.    Read moreAfter reading a lot of blogs from wellness experts about infrared saunas and in particular the Sunlighten brand, I decided to talk to my mum who was having a lot of health issues especially with blood pressure. She has been on medication for numerous years which had not really made too much of a difference and the doctorâs only solution was to increase dose. They wanted her to monitor her blood pressure daily for a month which we did and the results were quite irregular but her dose stayed the same. Around the same time we chose to invest in the mpulse sauna for many reasons such as pain and relaxation. After only having the sauna for 3 months now and using 3 times a week, she was asked to monitor her blood pressure again only this time the results were consistently in the same normal rage. Although still medicated I believe the sauna has made an impact that we hope will continue to a point where medication is not needed. Apart from that, for myself, my dry skin is now soft and hydrated and never looked better or...
Read moreI too have had a similar problem with the unit switching off......all it meant was that I would have to go and check it every now and again. Having said that it worked fine 90% of the time. The current software update has completely cleared this problem up. I absolutely love my sauna and have now converted my wife. She was never a big fan of saunas but she has a sauna just before bed and finds that it really helps her get a good nights sleep. For me I have had 2 hip replacements and I also have a fair bit of arthritis in my other joints and I find that the sauna helps me out a lot. My naturopath also said to me before I purchased the sauna that "if I want to live in good health the infra red sauna is definitely the way to go". We have two of these saunas in our family and they both get used to death. Also very importantly, when I have had issues and most of these have been operator issues, the people down at South Melbourne have been extremely helpful and patient. Keep up the good work...
