Attended the Subway store at Uni Hill Bundoora on Sunday 2/7. Attempted to redeem a free 6 inch sub voucher for my son who was rewarded it at junior football.
I preface this by saying the voucher did not have any store details on it indicating which store/s the voucher was issued by.
My son was told by the rude attendant that they dont know what the voucher is, never seen it and will not be honouring it. She was asked to contact her franchisee who apparently said they will not honour the free sub.
Upon the dishonouring of the voucher, I asked the attendant to write down her name and that of her franchisee. She refused and responded with "write it down yourself".
I contacted Subway direct with my experience and was told that they are unaware of the vouchers origin. I would at a guess suggest that Subway is responsible for the printing of these vouchers and distribute them to their franchisee's as required. I take offence that Subway doesn't recognise their own vouchers. After all its not like I printed a voucher to save a measly 8 bucks.
As far as I'm concerned this is not about money but rather principle. How could Subway even attempt to maintain any sort of credibility in an alleged support of junior football by providing these vouchers to junior players and upon attempted redemption, they tell an 11 year old child "we don't honour the voucher, never seen it before".
Subway as a company, irrespective that stores are individually owned, should be ashamed that they try and gain community publicity through exposure, and advertising with junior football, including soccer, but refuse to acknowledge a token gesture to a child.
Thanks for nothing. I hope your deceit becomes widely known.
I would give a score of less than zero if that was an option. Needless to say I will never willingly give you money for an overpriced, disgusting sandwich. Eat Fresh, somehow don't think so.
Is it any wonder that the reviews of your store are nothing short of appauling. The only postive reviews seem to have been posted by members of the franchisee's family and friends which lack credibility and are only posted to further deceive members of the community that you actually run a...
Read moreBurned foot long was served to me. When bread was been toasted in oven both ladies were busy attending 1 customer, and staff delayed for 10-15 secs to take the bread out of the oven. I tried eating just for the sake not to complaint, but it was unbearable hence went to the staff (2 ladies) and told them bread is burned and too crunch to eat. To my surprise 1 lady said: we just used the normal setting rather than excepting fault at 1st level. I explained that bread was there in oven for too long, but 2nd staff said to the first "i got late for a second only".
I am bit surprised what kind of customer service is this. Rather than looking at the bread and seeing it how burned it was, they started giving excuse so as to compell me having the footlong to eat.
Anyways, they prepared the fresh one, and said sorry after serving the footlong to me. But this could have been said at earlier as well, everyone makes the mistakes, but to accept it and provide better service is all about awesome customer...
Read moreThis subway outlet is really disappointing. They really skimp on the ingredients - its almost like their hand goes "limp" anytime you ask them to pick up some cheese or lettuce to put in your sub. The last time I attended, they actually had re-arranged some of the salad sandwich fillings and were missing some of them. I asked the "sandwich artist" why they didn't have any baby spinach (one of the fillings that was "missing") and she looked at me as if I was from outer space. The other thing I have noticed is that their prices are substantially higher compared to other subway outlets. For example, the subway in South Morang on Plenty Road is several dollars cheaper compared to the prices here. For instance, a six inch tuna sub is $7.80 at South Morang compared with $9.95 at Uni Hill. My husband was charged an additional $5 for ham to be added to his footlong roll. Outrageous. He could have gone to Coles and bought 250g of Ham to add to his roll...
