Sushi Factory — Restaurant in Melbourne

This is the best Sushi Roll place I’ve ever visited in Melbourne. I have been coming here for over 15 years, I travel half an hour to get here when there a plenty of Sushi places I could go to in between! Their beef is cut so thin in the roll that it literally melts in your mouth and they use real calamari not those pre chewed manufactured ones. This is the only place where the Inari have the tiny slivers I’ve ginger inside with that wonderful sauce and not just a dry block of rice. Don't be confused by their name. This is seriously good food that never disappoints.

The hand rolls use incredibly fresh ingredients , and although the fillings may not be authentic, they're certainly innovative. The grilled salmon is beautiful. The beef and chicken are tasty and of high quality. Everything has such a lovely, real texture as opposed to the normal amorphous 'meat of some kind' you usually get. The veggies are crisp and fresh. Everything looks and tastes like it's been made recently. They do such a roaring trade that I doubt anything would be sitting there...

Arrived just after 12pm and ordered a meal. At the time, I was the only customer. Soon after ordering, 3 new customers arrived and ordered their meals. All three of them got their food while I was waiting. I enquired where my order was and they said they gave it to the wrong customer. Fine, I get it, it happens. Why I’m leaving 1 star is because if I didn’t say anything, who knows how long I’d be gone waiting. Also, they offered me the other customers meal instead of what I ordered. No thanks, not interested… 🙄Got my money back and left. Waste of...
