Ate here for lunch today. The wait staff were fantastic. We placed our order, and, only a couple of minutes later. the waiter came back and apologized as he had put my order in incorrectly (wrong dish) and the kitchen had already started on it. He offered to bring both the mistake dish and my original order, with the mistake being 'on the house'. Both dishes were very tasty. At the till, I tried to at least pay half of the mistake dish, as it was good. But the staff at the till wouldn't have a bar of it.

My wife and I thought the following things about this experience.

Usually there is no way that a cafe/restaurant would admit to such a mistake. They would just throw away the ingredients they had used (or, worse still, keep them warm and serve them to someone else) when the mistake was found, and not mentioned a thing about it. But, the waiter in question said he did not want to throw the ingredients away, and would rather give them to me.

The communication between all the staff was brilliant. Everyone knew about the situation and when I went to pay, there was no mention of the extra meal from them. This was very impressive.

This cafe is very busy and we could see why. The staff were brilliant, and the food was good. The manager here knows what they are doing. Do yourself a favour...

It's nice to be able to review a cafe whereby no bad incidents happened. Lord knows, that's rare sometimes.

It was quite by accident/chance that we came here. I saw something on Instagram from here that took my fancy, and wouldn't you know it, when we sat down to order, I couldn't find the picture again so didn't even order that (I know; screenshot it next time).

Instead, I ordered the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon on a potato rosti, pickled red cabbage and poached eggs and Harissa hollandaise. It really was good. MAYBE if I were to be fussy, I'd say the potato rosti was just a fraction over done, but that's splitting hairs.

The staff were friendly, the food came out fast, and it was really good. They do sell little cakes and muffins etc to either eat in or take out. I must say, not all looked appealing, but there was a great variety.

Parking could be an issue at busy times. The council seem to think that by taking away parks, it "beautifies" the street. Uh, not so much. But if you go for breakfast early enough, it's a good spot. I highly recommend eating here. The breakfast is all day and there looks like a good lunch menu as well. Perhaps that's what I'll go...

Been living in Carnegie for 3 years and have tried to find better cafes near the suburb and we have ended up coming to this place last Thursday.

I’ve been to many cafes recently and have noticed that they no longer provide fresh house-made juices, only have store bought ones instead. This is the first a high score for this cafe as they have a JUICE OF THE DAY on their Menu.

The foods were really impressive as well. The overall presentation of the foods were simple and modest rather than showing off too much but still appealed its quality. Every single dish we tried on last Thursday and today was flavoursome and very delicious and nothing was salty or strong while balancing good flavours and texture.

I really loved the Quinoa Salad on my first visit but today I had a Pasta of the day which was pesto cream based and it was sensational

We will be going back next week to try some more foods but it wouldn’t be easy to decide what to have.. Almost forgot to mention their coffee. Their soy-flat white was excellent. Their soy-magic was the best magic that I’ve ever had! (Lots of cafe make a magic like a three quarter full….or make a three quarter full like a normal strong...

Pretty cool vibe, was very busy but they handled the few people waiting really well. Went on ANZAC Day so must have been short on staff and they were very busy! Had a strawberry and caramel milkshake, which if you're nostalgic, tastes kinda like pink Nesquik and man was it delicious. Out of curiosity my friend tried the 'Vegemite Popcorn Cheese Macoroni' and man are those words adventurous when put together. Tasted like cinnamon, albeit it was on the kids menu so I am convinced their tiny taste buds are broken. My friend also had a mocha which she managed to spill almost immediately on her new pants, and look: when I say new, I do mean freshly unwrapped from the e-comerce delivery pile she's started to collect. I tried the pasta of the day, fettucini, pesto and seafood. Pesto was pretty good, and quite heavy on the actual seafood content! Not bad for a coffee shop. The general vibe of the place is adorable. I love the wood paired with the simple greenery (although always wish there way more) and especially love the long tall bar-style table with the plants hanging overhead. Great setting, not bad for brunch catch-ups and coffee, and provides a chatty atmosphere.

Had breakfast here with friends on a Saturday morning. We didn’t need to book a table as there were plenty of seats available (we arrived at about 10am). The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. Their menu itself I didn’t think had too many options but I I chose from the ā€˜specials of the day’ : smashed peas on bread and poached eggs, pickles cucumber, salmon, and a green like salad, with I think a mayo sauce as well. The meal was delicious. I also ordered an iced latte. They use Dukes coffee beans so of course it was very good! My company also enjoyed their meal. The staff were friendly and quick to help. There is parking on the street but because it’s only for one hour, I parked at Coles which was nearby (2 hour parking) Would recommend if you haven’t been here before! Give it a try 😊
