Hodgson Reserve — Attraction in Melbourne

This is a large park area with three distinct sections. There is a large, fenced oval that is often used for local football or cricket games depending on the season. There are cricket training nets available beside the oval, as well as The Clubhouse. Thee Bentleigh Tennis Club is also closely with a number of courts available and a convenient carpark area. The second area is a large, green, open oval. On Sunday's this area is a popular meeting area for local friendly dog enthusiasts. Beside the field is a small playground and toilet facilities. Finally, as you walk up hill there is a gazebo with BBQ facilities and some exercise equipment and a Snakes and Ladders Game. Very well-maintained, dog-friendly reserve with multiple facilities including a football oval (off-leash area for dogs) & club rooms, tennis courts, walking paths, a playground, water stations, public toilets and a large grassed area (dogs on-lead only) on the far side of the reserve. There is a carpark located near the oval at the back of the Bowls Club, which can be accessed from Centre Rd, as well as free street parking around the perimeter of the reserve (some parking restrictions along sections of some streets apply so best to be vigilant when parking). Lovely day at the most pawfect park! Lovely dog park filled with the loveliest doggos and their sweet pawrents. Every Sunday morning there’s a pawsome dog training session — so much wagging and learning! There’s even a cute playground for the little hoomans to have their own fun! And guess what? A sporty corner too, with basketball and ping pong for the energetic ones! Plus a HUGE oval — perfect for a morning zoomie run or a sunset stroll. Such a woofderful place to spend the day!
