Fifth Chapter — Restaurant in Melbourne

Arrived on Sunday with my wife. That was our 3rd visit. Our 1st visit was amazing. 2nd was %50 %50. But the last visit absolutely shocking. They forgot to send through our orders. A girl came up said something wrong with the system. We were fine anyway. The main problem is they don't listen well when they take orders. We ordered corn fritters and chia bowl. I said no relish or whatever it's called comes on the bottom of the fritters. Guess what, served with that again. ( My second visit was exactly the same) Eggs were under done. Because they rushed it. Didn't enjoy my breakfast at all. Wife had a chia bowl. Fruits were can fruits litreally disgusting. I mean don't know what to say. I understand hospitality struggling staff wise, I'm a chef as well. Hate beeing too harsh but at least when your customer is not happy, try to make them little happy. Don't charge the coffes or offer a dessert or something . I would definitely...

I give the cafe staff a 5 star rating for the exemplary way they handled an issue we had with with our meal today!

Unfortunately their new system lost our order leaving us waiting for an extended period. As soon as the staff were made aware, they immediately took ownership of the mistake and apologised genuinely multiple times. They quickly offered us coffees, and worked with the kitchen to ensure our meal was provided as quickly as possible.

When the meal arrived we were pleasantly surprised that even though the meal was prepared quickly, it was made to a high quality and was delicious!

To cement the staff’s high level of professionalism, they also came over during our meal to check we were ok and apologised again!

WORST SERVICE! Do NOT waste your time going here for a meal on a weekend! There are plenty of other great cafes to check out in Bentleigh and this is not one of them. Used to be a regular here but their service has gone down the toilet faster than an icecube melts on a flame! There is no way to book a table with them so you have to wait for one to be available. Went there yesterday for brunch and was told our table was ready after we had waited for about 20 mins. Once we got to our table, however, we saw a few other people seated at it. Instead of asking them to wait their turn, the server instead tells us that we have to wait for a table AGAIN! and could not tell us an estimated wait time for one to become available.
